Being able to yell out loud SOB in singalong was such a thrills back then with this song !! ... With Hair of the dog surely allowing us here to repeat it so many times ! What a satisfaction and pleasure it was. Oh my ! Cannot forget it. Now imagine what it was during their live performances... Telling you, we were literately lifting concert halls roof with our chorus of the main lines of that song. Making us here, at least for the time of a song, all very badass... 🤘 🎸 🔥 🦚

stereopolice . I'm a vocalist well i used to sing in a few bands in my younger days until i had to relize that heeeyy i guees i need to quit fuckin around and start gettin more serious about bills and a roof over my head and food to eat. But i must say i can only dream bout having a voice like his. Yea must admit im a little jealous or maby alot.but yea what a voice.one of a kind. And like ya said his voice come out almost effortlessly. He never gets horse and never seems to wear it out.and that my freinds is hard to do. It must be nice to have that voice and it be so natural and sound that bad ass.like he and his voice was born to be a rock star. WOW.!!! Legendary and one of a kind. And with the power ripp ur ears off.!! Aint everyday a voice such as his comes along. There's a few such as axell 🌹 i hope i spelled that right. Voices like that are rare and very unique. Witch makes em as i said legendary. You put that with the power and the abilities to perform comfortably on stage in front of thousands is like winning power ball.very rare. I've always been thourally impressed with his voice since the day i first heard him sing. WOW.!!

I saw them a few times back in the day and every show was outstanding. His voice is unforgettable. There was one point in the show where he was in a cloud of smoke and they had a spotlight on his head. I'm not sure what they did, but you couldn't see his body. (And I was right up by the stage.) I swear, it looked like his head was floating towards me. It was REALLY FREAKY! Great effect there, great voice, great song, great show!!!

It's the versatility of Dan's voice that really blows me away. He has the most grinding voice I have ever heard and yet he also has the most pleasant smokey blues voice I have ever heard. If you want a taste of this look for Nazareth's Fool Circle album. It's a bit of a departure from their hard rock sound.

When, in the late 1980s, the then little-known band Guns N’ Roses were working on material for what would become their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, their vocalist, Axl Rose, instructed their record label, Geffen, to “get me the guy who produced Nazareth’s Hair of the Dog”. The title song, with its fat, swaggering beat and raucous chorus of “now you’re messin’ with a son of a bitch”, was one of Axl’s all-time favourites. RIP Manny Charlton.
