The Everly Brothers in the 50s or 60s were the first to record this song but it has been covered by many artists. This version is by far one of the best I’ve ever heard. The lead singer is a true artist and his voice is amazing. The guitar player actually makes his guitar “cry”. This was in the day when singers had to able to sing and musicians could play instruments.

Brilliant! My favourite version of this song. Dan's voice is just so freakin' good!! Actually there's a lot of Brit bands from "back in the day" who had front men with fantastic unique voices... everyone reacts to Queen, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, etc, but so many great ones (with amazing lead singers) have been missed - like Nazareth (and Dan's vocals), Slade (Noddy Holder), Sweet (Brian Connolly), Free & Bad Company (Paul Rodgers), Zombies & Argent (Rod Argent), Small Faces & Humble Pie (Steve Marriott), E.L.O. (Jeff Lynne), etc. Even Smokie to a degree - their music was way more "laid back" but that raspy voice of Chris Norman was definitely unmistakable & memorable.

After he's done Nazareth, if he even wants to listen to any other band, he definitely needs to do Slade and Sweet, so many great songs that people in NA don't know about, or only heard for a week in 72.
