It was hard to believe how big drama will be in the episode's end after that funny moment. This anime has a huge contrast between humour and serious things... So, that's partially why the series are successful.

@foxbluereaver7457 Regarding making the series hard to understand, is it pertaining to the main series or the Prince of Darkness movie? I heard that PoD's problem is that it had a prequel and sequel in video game form that never made it out of Japan, but does the main series have the same problem?

@@zhengyingli Yeah, I was talking about the movie specifically. The series itself can be watched as standalone for the most part, bar a few minor loose ends that get solved in the aforementioned videogames.

the english dub was gold especially with Megumi it was so good.

The dub was good especially for its age plus other than some localization issues the dub was accurate to the original Japanese.

In all the years I've been watching the show, I've never watched it in Japanese. I think what really makes the dub for me is Jennifer Earhart as Yurika. She gets Yurika's ditzy personality perfectly, but also is incredibly good when she needs to be serious. Nadesico is one of the only shows she ever had a lead role in, so I'm afraid that even if we someday get a Season 2, or another movie, and it gets localized and dubbed, they won't be able to find her to reprise the role.
