Honestly this video just shows you how swift the German invasions were. In only a few months they had taken over all of Western Europe, and in a few more months they conquered what was once unconquerable.

The result of mechanized warfare which was relatively new. The Russians learned quickly albeit at a high toll and dispatched those fascist brats to their perceived maker. The Germans were high on engineering and warfare intelligence but low on courage and toughness. The funny thing is today, they and their admirers think the war ended. It’s in its early stages. Their descendants will get their due justice when the time comes be sure of it.

Really crazy to see just how quickly the Nazis expanded. But also puts it into perspective in another sense. I mean, just because they rapidly took over control like that doesn't mean they had actually solidified their gains. I mean, to occupy so much territory must require implementing new administration, solidifying defenses and supply lines, etc. I mean, just because they surrender or retreat when your troops march in doesn't necessarily mean you've consolidated your gains. Hitler tried to go too fast... he wasn't patient. At the very least, if he had not broken the pact with Russia, things may have been very different. But hey, is evil ever patient?

Not really considering the Russians got lucky. The German forces were a little less trained, but the German forces that invaded were 4million and the Russians lost over 50mil.
