I loved how you could actually do a chasedown block in 2k11, but in 2k13 it's hard just to get a regular block and doesn't look as cool

2K11 is the only game where you have to avoid certain teams because of how realistic it is. Better accessories.

2K11 has a summer league, and doesn't let you skip your way into the NBA. Less cheese in 2K11. HOF isn't complete shit in 2K11, Jordan greatest moments. In 2K16, you can spam a sizeup to get ankle breakers, but in 2K11 the sizeups aren't OP. In 2K16, (this one is the most ridiculous) players like Derrick Rose or Russell Westbrook can't blow by defenders easily, and get bumped frequently. Even when it's a bad defender, they get D'ed up on.

Can you still highlight a teammate while your dribbling and tell him to either set a pick, cut the the hoop, spot up, or post up? I loved that about 2k6, haven't played it much since then.

Pedro Granja i was able to manually update my rosters, but that is a HUGE struggle to be honest. The only reason i would buy the newest 2k if i were you is for the updated rosters. 2k 11 plays the best, but its not that fun if your playing with NBA rosters from 2010.

@ZXMajedZX when I went into settings all I found was the option for in game action replays and after basket camera cuts so I guess I was wrong but I know what your talking about after the fame there should be the player of the game and you can watch the highlight reel from there but if it isn't showing up at the end of the game I don't know how to get it to show up that is wierd

I have been an NBA Live player since 03, when i saw NBA Elite, i felt ashame. NBA 2K11 demo was so awesome that i'm willing to change from Live to the 2K series. I'm Giving Live 1 more chance but 2K is just killing it. Peace from a player from Sweden.

@bookereddie Yeah, I did the same thing at first. Also, if it ever tells you that it cannot connect to the 2K servers just quit the game and restart it. It will connect right back to the 2K servers.

Is the my player mode good in NBA 2k11? I've decided to get this over NBA 2k12 because there have been a lot of complaints about it and that 2k11 is much better. This'll be my first 2k game and my biggest reason to buy is for the my player mode. I dont know which i should get.

@ThePsychoticPanda this game is so addictive. honestly, using the sliders and upping the difficulty you will learn the finesse of the game. when i started playing I had no idea how it worked, playing on rookie with all the sliders on my side and now i am loving it, with the difficulty on all star and the sliders stacked against me and its the most fun i can imagine

The only problem with My Player is that if your new to the game, it will be sort of difficult. You start with a very low attribute rating compared to Wall or Favors. Other than that, My Player and NBA 2k11 in general is great.

it doesnt take long to get to the nba in my player. all you have to do is play 3 games pre draft and then 3 after draft in the summer circuit. if youre good you make the team if youre not you get to the d-league. my player in general isnt that hard. i mainly guard but heres some tips do shooting drills and only shooting drills if you're a PG/SG. keep upgrading shot medium and speed then when you get to nba do offensive defensive awarness vertical etc... but its important you do shot medium.

The only issue I find with the 'My player' mode is that when you get drafted it doesn't change the draft at all. I was a PG and got drafted 8th by the Clippers and they still got Aminu. To me that seems pretty ridiculous, the team just got 2 players with 1 one pick....Seriously!? but other then that solid game from the guys at the 2K studios. Now if only they would make another NFL2K game because the Madden games are not cutting it for me at all.

Sometimes however the defense seems supernatural. When you throw a long pass, there's almost a guarantee that their going to intercept it. That's one of the things that really pisses me of. However the game overall is fantastic. :)

@hemhemimakatekobum Nah dude, the cutscenes are awsome, they are really important in enhancing the lifelike presentation in the game, you can however go into settings > presentation > cutscenes > Never. Then cutscenes will not appear

I use to be a Nba Live fan but after playing this game 2-3 hours a day for the last month I absolutely love Nba 2k11. Only thing frustrating me are the cutscenes, all I wanna do is play the game but I am forced to watch all the cutscenes. Is there a way to speed things up, if anybody knows can they please inform me it would be greatly appreciated.

Im a huge hoops fan, but Ive always been dissapointed in the past by basketball games. I think soccer franchises FIFA/PES make a better videogame experience, and some NFL games too. NHL is good too. Is NBA 2k11 worth the hype? I will wait a couple of months and get it for sure.
