Remember, this is why EA had to buy the rights to the NFL. 2K was killing EA in the sports category. Remember when 2K dropped NFL 2K5(still the greatest football game in my opinion) NFL 2K5 was awesome you had the crib, you had real halftime show with either still shots on ps2 or actual footage from the game on xbox with Chris Berman, you could customize your music for the start of the game, touchdowns, etc. if you had an xbox. I could go on forever but the real gut blow to EA was that 2K sports put out a greatly better game and charge $19.99 for it while EA was charging 49.99 for Madden. EA later dropped the price to $29.99 killing their profits so EA did the one thing that they could do and that was buy the NFL rights killing 2K football's game. So just think about if EA didn't do that we would be playing NFL 2K14 because just like live 2K would have killed off Madden. Damn you EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because...like Madden, NBA games are usually targeted for American audiences because that's where the sport is the biggest. So i'm saying even for me living in Scotland and no interest in basketball i'm still tempted to pick up the game cause it seems realistic and fun.. Does that clear it up a bit?

Nba Live 14 has many flaws and I highly recommend Nba 2k14 over it. Hopefully in another year or 2, it will go back to being the old Nba live that everyone loved. But this year, it's not even a close competition. Strange player movements, unrealistic player sprinting speeds, last gen graphics, glitchy passing, horrible defense, bad commentary, and much more makes Nba live 14 a huge disappointment.

Even the Live 14 teaser clip of Kyrie Irving shooting over Deandre Jordan wasn't better looking than 2K14's in game graphics. Live 14 looks bad even for current gen standards. And the clumsy post moves, and lack of animations looks like they haven't learned anything from Live 10.

2k14 is the better game but it does have so much bs.. like terrible passes that go out of bounds unnecessarily, blocks that go through defender hands and end up in the hoop and ridiculous offensive rebounds. It's a game and it can't be perfect though, so other than that it's a pretty good game (soundtrack's a little lame and dated too).

I'm not so sure if 2k would make good soccer games. The most important thing is that the developers gotta be passioned about the sports they are recreating. I mean take a look at nhl and mlb 2k. I think EA chose to make the NBA live graphics more lighter and less detail so that the player can see them better. They focused less in graphics and more in features. But it is the next generation means good graphics but wait till NBA live 15 when they actually start fixing the flaws. NBA live features includes having updates on teams roster and playing games that had been played in real life. I have both of them..Yes 2k is killin..but LIve has some good aspects they can get better. on. They need to focus on their gameplay. Other then that..its not that bad of a game...the challenges are alot of fun. 2k is amazing but mycareer story line is terrible and it lacks in modes as well. Love the NBA Today additive though. But Im going to Play LIve for my epsn feel and 2k for my TNT nights. Together they are delivering me a pretty damn good NBA experience.

NBA live has always been trash to me. I've been a 2K fan since the first NBA 2k (for the dreamcast console w/ A.I. on the cover). Live's best year was when they released Live 05 cause it introduced that slam dunk contest & 2K was STILL kickin their asses! It was pretty sweet, no lie, but that will be the only reason that I played Live (not to mention that Live 05 & 06 were the ONLY Live's I've ever had). 2K has always been better in graphics & performance/game play (my opinion). Live is trash...and apparently still is hahaha! EA sports, stick to making Madden, NCAA & FIFA
