2k's graphics is no doubt better than Live but it comes down on gameplay. No one buys a game only to observe graphics. We buy it so we can enjoy playing nba games. If 2k18's gameplay is as same as 2k17 then i'm absolutely going to switch to Live. I could careless about the graphics than gameplay itself.

Got Live for $7 a few weeks ago, and tried out the 2k18 free play weekend. NBA Live 18 DEFINITELY has better graphics. 2k18 looks like it's in between last gen and current gen still. Features wise, though, 2k takes the cake easily. LIve doesn't have much to offer aside being better for the casual player+graphics. Well, and it's not obsessed with microtransactions like 2k is.

The winner is, whoever drops the shot meter. Seriously, taking my eyes off the top where I use instinct to predict a natural jump shot, to look down at the feet to time a meter? We didn't even use that in Live 95, why would you put it in a modern wanna be sim? Do players have shot meters in real life? Take that arcade nonsense out.

What I'm seeing here is that Live continues to spend more time on select players. So off the top of my head from this video, Harden and Westbrook, they were pretty good. But then they basically butcher the other players -- namely my guy DeMar DeRozan. That's shameful what they did to him there. With 2K you can see the effort across the board.
