I added a few created players , 6 teams and a few retired legends and brought now all their ages to 19. The sliders so best players get paid and 80 rated players are worth maybe 10 million at most while the rest of the league makes around 1.2 million. It works. Free agents are mostly 82 overall and under. How I mixed everything was simple editing contracts with jo trade clause for extentions. I did a fantasy draft so if you have a great pg your shooting guard would suck and so on. Some how the lakes got Larry berg , O'Neal and magic Johnson. But since I did it in order from best in position to sorriest the lakers pretty much has no bench and the two best players of ever team has a 4 year extension with a no trade clause. youth age and potential for income is all the way down and minutes are all the way up. Ether you have the skill and minutes player or you get paid less and if your an 85 to 80 max is around 10 million if you played minutes in games. Otherwise your taking 1 million. The resign player is high and many teams resign players in the luxury tax which is maxed out

Yeah for sure! I'm pretty sure the increments that the cap increases in the past eras r locked in like they were last year. I think the cap is gonna be what it's gonna be from year 2 on but still confirming that for every era. I prolly won't make a video of it with that being the case. That can (and will) be fixed in the simmed games between CPU teams with simulation sliders...but in the games u play, there's nothing we can do to adjust the CPU team's strategy and stuff like that. It's weird u say that tho cuz I get attacked pretty consistently with the opposing stars. Trae Young just hit me up for 40, for example. What's like the most a star has scored on u?

Lol it's funny that's EXACTLY what I'm goin thru right now! Not the greatest time I've ever had. I really wish they gave us more sliders to affect the auto-generated draft classes. I've always liked the fictional players, but there's just the one draft class quality slider. For that reason, the answer to this problem is the attribute progression sliders. I sort of understand why the game has shooting attributes increase and decrease so much...it's just how the game processes player skill. They really need to bring back the different shooting attributes like open 3, moving 3, contested mid range, etc. Putting everything into just 1 slider for each range doesn't capture much nuance. All that being said tho, the game goes WAY overboard on the shooting sliders, so we'll def be toning that down!!

@ThePopboy yeah thanks man I'm a big fan. Also when ever I play good teams like the celtics for some reason role player outscore the stars like tatum and brown it's weird. Do you have a fix for that?

I wonder if it's something new with the last patch?? If it's a simmed game between CPU teams, then we can control that with the simulation sliders, but it sucks for played games cuz there's nothing we can do to alter the opposing team's strategy and stuff like that. Have u found this to be a problem just lately or basically since the game came out?

@ThePopboy yo I think I found a work around about the draft classes. Just create a new one at the end of a season and edit the whole 3 point column and just bring it down via quick edit

That's a good point! I like having them on just to have the option to change other rules later on...but turning them off all together would be totally fine and a way to just eliminate the problem. I guess I was just operating from the standpoint of how to avoid the problem while still being able to use the rule changes for other stuff

Oh that means u have the automation turned on for the various off-season tasks. Go to options-->settings-->general-->offseason auto and turn those to off. The game will automate all the ones u have on....and it's a REALLY bad idea to automate ur roster moves, free agency etc this year!! The game does a particularly bad job with it this year. If u just automate several seasons, ur roster will normally almost all average or below average players and u'll have an insane amount of unspent cap space smh!!🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

Yep! I'm lookin at next week! I just have the progression and a couple of the difficulty sliders to finish testing. And then of course we have the issue where the player regression slider is linked to the assist slider in the simulation sliders for no reason. Same as last year but I actually think it'll be a little less impactful this year. I'll go over the workaround in the video for sure

Hey really appreciate it!! The regression age will vary from player to player...but if go to edit player and then to vitals, u can scroll down and see the peak start and peak end for each player. Once they get to their peak end age, they'll start to regress after that

Yeah I agree. I've had to make my peace with the fact that some things r just not gonna make sense, and just try to focus on making it a fun challenge to maintain good vibes on ur team. It can be all over the map tho. U get some weird outliers, but I try to look at the bigger picture. I have the morale difficulty at 56 and then the morale effects at 44👍

So that's why I leave the cap numbers on default for the past eras. It's gonna wind up at the same amounts in the future years anyway. With the other contract settings, I have actually gotten very similar results with the same settings from the modern era. I think that's actually just cuz the game is not even really listening to those settings. I think it's just adjusting everything back to the same levels to make them historically accurate. Similar to what it does with the cap. This is one of the reasons I so excited to be able to focus only on new gen going forward: I can get SO much deeper on testing things like this!!! So for now, I would have the cap settings on default and the other contract settings on the normal, modern settings for all the past eras. To be honest, I'm going to play a coop career with a friend and we're going to play with player lock, I decided to wait for the deadline to pass so we can play in the modern era with updated roster, but thanks for the answer and don't abandon us because 2k def will lmao

Last year in 2K23 it was every season cuz it was broken and didn't increase on it's own. But this year that part is fixed! So we just set everything right in the 1st season and forget about it!!👍👍 Only thing u wanna keep a eye out for each off-season is the whole rule change thing I went over in the vid. But we're solid in terms of the actual settings! The last video has updates for all the injury sliders btw!! That one has updates that can only be found in the video so I hope u saw it!! There's some injury probs we needed to address for sure. I'm gonna do some updates for the simulation sliders in the next video soon too!!👍

U for sure have the right idea...the earlier they're applied, the better, but it's def better than not doing it at all!! There will be like an adjustment period, so the longer they're on there, the more time they have to make a bigger difference. What's the main things u were running into? Did u have all kinds of those free agency leftovers??

I haven't played 2K this past year because I'm an MyNBA/MyGM player (Offline) on PS5, and it felt completely broken (like 2K23) e.g. 'trust'/'skill tree'/'objectives' etc etc I could never play it without getting fired because I couldn't communicate with Players/Coaches/Owner etc... DID YOU (or anyone here) HAVE THIS ISSUE TOO? IF YES, CAN IT BE FIXED? I couldn't find a fix for it and got so frustrated I just stopped playing.

Yea I don’t think the people who make 2k actually play my NBA/ my league. There’s no way I understand it doesn’t make any money but the franchise should be the main part of sports games. Madden has its issues with lack of features, but 2K franchise mode has fallen off pretty hard. And they’ve just been using NBA errors to get us off their back.

R u the admin of the online league? The admin should def be able to edit these and all the other settings. They also should be able to give others in the league permission to edit certain things. They have that whole thing with the different roles this year.

Yeah the roster is a good point I shoulda addressed in the video...but I'd use the same settings regardless of the roster. That's because the initial contract amounts aren't affected by the contract settings. They'll just affect how much the players expect when they're doing their next deal. Of course I wouldn't use some crazy roster where the contracts have been edited to some crazy high or crazy low amounts...but ATD doesn't do that...at least the one that I tested on. That's actually one of the many rosters I test with!👍

I haven't yet...but it won't matter when I do. Unfortunately that's been broken in new gen and still is. I can upload them, but there's no download function to allow others to download them. So I upload them to...Idk nowhere smh. I had somebody DM me and say he can download them, but everything still looks the same on my end. I'm waiting to hear back from him. Maybe he found a way but I doubt it. When u go into any of the MyNBA sliders, u'll notice there's nothing in the bottom left that says like hit triangle or Y to download a set. Like they have on last gen and like they have on the gameplay sliders. I can't understand for the life of me how they STILL haven't fixed this on new gen. So yeah at the moment, these r just in the video. In the next video with all the rest of the MyNBA sliders, I'll have another option. And then of course I'll upload them under my tag on Xbox "The Popboy"...just in case it ever lets ppl download them🤷‍♂

@@ThePopboy it’s broken but yes, actually you can load this settings. On your mynba game, go to trade sliders and press the triangle button. And you can load the mynba settings of other people or yours previously saved. You cannot see the option but is there!! 😂😂

so i started a kobe era with tweaked cap settings and simulated all the way to 2015-16. the inflation was perfect and realistic to what it was at the time. ive now ran into the issue with the cap spike that happened IRL in 2016-17. the cap jumped up from around $70m to $94m. in my 2k league i have it perfect at a $70m cap right now but i have no way to replicate this cap spike. im trying to make my own sliders in a separate league to get a starting cap of $94m but i am not as knowledgable as you. if you know a way i can do this it would be great. really dont want to simulate to the next season without this cap spike

You can go in the rules and increase the cap by 5 Mil 10 Mil or 15 Mil. Looks like the best guy can get is 85. Hope it helps

Hello i try your settings ...the only problem i found is that the cpu teams devalue their younger talent at the point that for example in a hornets franshise the cpu offer me anferrne simmons ( balzers) for rozier.... or Deandre Ayton for Hayward Those trades are unrealistic and only happen with your settings
