At the time of this top50 list, only Pete Maravich had passed away (just 40 years old). Now, for the top75, Paul Arizin, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Dave DeBusschere, Hal Greer, John Havlicek, Sam Jones, Moses Malone, George Mikan, Dolph Schayes, Bill Sharman, Nate Thurmond, and Wes Unseld… are no longer with us. And then of course Kobe Bryant, selected now for the 75th anniversary team and not here to see it, similar to Pistol Pete (Kobe died just one year older, at 41). RIP to all of them

I think it'd be tough because post-Celtics Big 3, most younger NBA players have been on several teams as compared to 25 years ago when players stayed on one team their entire career. So they could get jackets representing those teams; Zeke could wear Pistons and Magic could wear Lakers and Jordan could wear Bulls, but what jacket would Lebron wear today? Cavs, which he spent the most time with? Heat, where he was most successful? Or Lakers, the team he currently plays for? No one jacket could adequately summarize players' careers today.

@@jerrysmith8899 we not talking about total, we’re talking about the NBA. And again, YOU CANT TEACH SIZE, if Jordan was Wilts Size he would’ve broken the NBA. Russell wasn’t even the 2nd best offensive player on his own team, he had Cousy and Havelichek, he never averaged more than 19PPG, Jordan never averaged LESS than 20PPG and the only time he averaged less than 22PPG was his final year in the league. 7 straight years averaging over 30. Kareem missed the All-star in his prime (78) and as great as Wilt was, he only won 2 chips. JORDAN dominated the league for a decade, even better than a decade dating back to late 80s, the only player TO THIS DAY to win MVP, DPOY, AND scoring title (35PPG) in the same season, the only player in history to have multiple seasons where he had 200 blocks and 100 steals, I will remind you that this was a 6’6 190 pound shooting guard in a big man era doing this, not a 7’1 center.
