REMEMBER that Curry arrive with injuries problems, and also that he arrives in a league not MODELED YET for his play, Curry HAD TO CHANGE the game, and that's why young players like. Trae can shoot from the logo and and from 3's almost. as much as they want, the league was still more physic and based on the former type of basket than today. Also when Curry arrives the pace was lower, and PG couldn't score as much as they wanted and shoot as much they want like it is now for Trae. Finally, Curry wasn't the center of his team yet. I mean I would love to see Trae Young in 2009 when the basketball hasn't changed yet, because it almost always harder for the First. one, than for the others who arrives after and can enjoy all the work that the first one have made. Put Curry. rookie now, with the basketball being already more. about 3's and scoring PG and I can tell that a part the injuries, nothing would stop him

I live in Atlanta and its a transplant city so it’s hard to convert everyone to a hawks fan. But it’s business get a winning team and culture for the new generation and that place will stay lit! And it’s funny to hear some old man call a 20 year old not athletic or explosive. And man he must be related to Linda Fairstien because he want admit or change his view on Trae for nothing. But lucky for Trae he’s not worried about them he’s living his best life and these sport anchors just behind a desk talking noise.

@@jamesjorgensen6808 Not even close. He is no leader, his impact in ATL is zero 29.3% wr the year before him and 29.9% this year. He shoots at 43.7% which is not that great at all and having almost 5 TOs a game, plus he is a complete hole in defense because of his physique, heigth and lack of motivation to be a good defender. And he can thank the referees to get Harden's treatment, because they are giving him all the FTA he wants. Lebron, Luka, Chris Paul, Lillard, Kyrie, Curry, Harden are all far far better than him and more impactful in their teams and then there's many more with less statpad but that contribute a lot in their team success and are better all around guards like Goran Dragic, Jamal Murray, Kyle Lowry, Bradley Beal, Kemba Walker and Ben Simmons to name a few. There's no way that Trae is a top5 guard being almost the worst team in the NBA, period. Good players make impact in their teams and play for the win not to just statpad. What Trae needs is a good leader, someone who takes the attention and guides ATL to wins, that way he would have more room to improve his decision making and maybe (only maybe) someone who challenges him for being so lazy in defense.

It's like they thought that he'd never improve. Trae is a MONSTER on the level of Allen Iverson . . a more efficient Allen Iverson, with Steve Nash passing ability, Steph Curry's range, and James Harden's ability to draw fouls. Add in Isiah Thomas' toughness, and you have the new age PG of the next 10 - 15 years. The kid is currently averaging 30 ppg - 9 asst. The only guy to do that in the modern era, is Russell Westbrook. The only other players to do this in NBA HISTORY, is Oscar Robertson and Tiny Archibald. He leads the NBA in turnovers because he's the engine of the offense. Every other high turnover guy in the NBA, is the engine of their offense. Even the great Steve Nash led the NBA in turnovers . . . twice . . . while also leading the league in assists.
@doktarr
@doktarr 4 жыл бұрын
Trae is one of the worst defenders in the entire league and he misses a ton of shots. He's a classic high volume shooter who doesn't make good teams better. This looks like it was a weak draft so taking him at 5 was fine; he was probably the best option other than the injured Michael Porter. But he's massively overhyped at this point.
@finisher3x
@finisher3x 4 жыл бұрын
@@doktarr - Anyone that watched the Hawks knows that team was so inexperienced, that if the Hawks didn't have Trae, they would've struggled to win 10 games, instead of the 20 games that they did win. Also, their season was derailed when PF John Collins ( the team's 2nd best player who averaged 20 ppg - 10 rebs ) missed 25 games because of a banned substance suspension. Without Collins, the Hawks lost 21 out of 25 games, because they had no decent big men and no other 20 ppg scorers outside of Collins.
@doktarr
@doktarr 4 жыл бұрын
@@finisher3x Sure, Trae made the terrible Hawks a more competitive (but still bad) team. I don't deny that. I said players like him don't make *good* teams better. He's a player who "raises the floor" on your team's offensive output, but he doesn't "raise the ceiling" due to non-elite shooting percentages and (especially) his bad defense. Over the course of a playoff series, he would get repeatedly targeted and abused defensively. You can overlook it in the regular season but in the playoffs any mismatch gets hammered.
@finisher3x
@finisher3x 4 жыл бұрын
@@doktarr - Players like him lead teams to play for championships, if they have other good players around them. He's in the same mold of the great small PGs before him ( Iverson, Isiah Thomas ( the Bad Boy version ), Stockton, Steve Nash ). Over the course of a playoff series, teams would also have to stop Trae as well. As much as Trae's bad defense is talked about, he still wins his matchup against the opposing PG, because they can't guard him AT ALL. Trae's brilliance on offense far outweighs his defensive deficiencies.
@doktarr
@doktarr 4 жыл бұрын
@@finisher3x Sorry, but no. Isaiah was a TERROR on defense and super efficient on offense. Stockton is the all time leader in steals for a reason and was also great at making his teammates better (all time leader in assists for a reason, too). Nash and Iverson are better comps, but neither was as bad a defender as Trae is (Iverson was very good on the ball) and both were better on offense. In his absolute best case scenario Trae becomes as dangerous as Iverson on O, but is still a worse defender. And Iverson reached the finals only once, and was passed around like a hot potato at the end of his career for a reason. Trae is just not as good on offense as you seem to think. He's a good volume scorer but far below the real offensive stars of the league like Harden, James, Giannis, Lillard, Jokic, etc. Factor in being literally one of the worst defenders in the league (the worst who plays starter minutes) and you have a merely good player who will never be a star on a championship team.
@alanbrooks9618
@alanbrooks9618 4 жыл бұрын
Trae needs a star 2 guard, we all know he can pass. If he can be a nash (Who he looked up to) instead of curry we will be a better team. Take a look at the game vs Spurs. Trae with 23 & around 10 asst. Team contributed in a good win at home this season. (Homework) #Truetoatlanta 🏀💯
