What counts is how you play in the playoffs, and Embiid has shown he’s a regular season player. Never gotten out of the second round. It would be one thing if he played great but they still lost. But that’s not the case, Embiid shrinks in the playoffs. Let’s see if he can change that this season.

Ultimately, it was NBA management who made that call. Perk is just a mouth piece. Only 3 players in NBA history threepeated MVP. Chamberlain, Russel, Bird Bird was the last to do so over 40 years ago! Jordan, Duncan, Kobe, James, Curry, Giannis... none of them won 3 in a row. NBA management wasn't ready to acknowledge Jokic's greatness at that time; primarily to preserve the legacies of the above named players. They didn't feel comfortable elevating Jokic to NBA's royalty status, especially during the time when they are seeking out the new face of NBA to replace aging James.. Jokic most definitely deserved to threepeat. This is how ground breaking his performance was last year! (c below) Nevertheless, he led Nuggets to their 1st ever NBA Finals, and their 1st even Championship! Perhaps the injustice surrounding his MVP gave him additional motivation for playoffs.

Denver is still the team to beat for a championship if somebody is going to do it. I continue to be astounded watching Jokic play. As a team you can't expect that to go your favor 4 times in a 7 game series either. Tatum's great against bad teams but gets put in jail every time they face a good one. His ability to elevate his game to overcome adversity is non-existent. He's one of the worst high volume clutch efficiency players in the league for a reason. He is so easy to gameplay for; for the opposing team, they just have to treat him like a slightly better shooting Giannis. If he's not getting to the rim, he's not that good, given his low efficiency as a jump shooter. If I were the other team, I'd let him shoot as much as he wants in an unswitched man to man setup because he has no consistency unless DW screens for him and forces a switch onto someone like Austin Reaves. Any defensive physicality is too much for him. Whenever there's a competitive matchup, the lights are always too bright and the defense too stifling for him to do anything.

Speaking of Boston being too dependent on the 3- during the Last 25 seconds or so, when they were down by 2, I saw the Celtics pass around the Ball 4 times to the outside Looking for the 3, and they never had a Shot, when someone could have easily gotten a 2 to at Least take it to OT- Instead they tried for a 3 to Win, didn't, then the Nuggets forced Tatum for a Bad Shot for the Loss- Boston could have had the Tie into OT and 12-15 seconds to play with for the Win

Alot of those 3 weren´t really contested so i don´t have a problem with that . Also Tatum got fouled plenty of times going to the rim , 5 ft is simply ridiculous . It tells a story . Nuggets played well . I would expect Porzingis to get more touches near the rim if this was a playoff game . Celtics definitely need to look for another PF who can rebound and defend
