Tbh even though he was elite at this time at real madrid as well, his 12/13 season at spurs was arguably his peak. He won premier league player of the season and imo is one of the best individual premier league seasons ever. As a spurs fan I remember the way he used to carry us in so many games. Even when he came back to us last season ofc he wasn't nearly as good as he was back then but he still had the best goal per minute ratio in the prem and put up very good numbers for the little he played.

One of the most misfortunes happened in football history. Technically, Bale had all the qualities to be Ronaldo's successor at Real Madrid. No doubt about it at all. Sadly, he's quite often get injured, plus Real Madrid historically tends to be more blessed with great players on the left side of the field (therefore their most offensive side mostly comes from the left hand side of the pitch). If he got better support from world class right wingbacks (just like the left enjoyed Roberto Carlos or Marcelo for decades), I would be 100% sure that Bale would lit the right attack even more.
