As a supporter I am a part of my club (yes I am a member). If my team loses it is never "they lost" but it's "we lost", so it's personal and I don't like losing. When I go to games I don't go to be entertained. I go to games to see us win, and also to inspire our players and to give them energy and confidence, while at the same this intimidates the enemy

Actually this is not case with whole Europe, this atmosphere is mainly on Balkans, and first and last video are from Greece (all the best for our Orthodox Greek brothers), second video was from Serbia (capital Belgrade), and if you really want a life time experience I strongly advise you to come here you would be surprised how safe country Serbia is, no matter this can be a little frightening in your eyes but all passion and possible "aggression" are expressed on first place football and after that in Basketball games ( in which FYI Serbia as small as it is, is equal with golden , silver and bronze medals with USA dream team on world cups). The fan support in Europe is not only constantly during the game even before and after. The fans meet hours before on a place in the city and then thousands walk together to the stadion all dressed with the Club Shirt, singing and chanting. After the game they walk back together for celebrating.

What you guys should understand, is that Ultras/Hools do not care about the game. They have their own game, their own sport. Football, basketball... who wins or lose is irrelevant to them. We do not hava street gangs such as Bloods & Crips, Hells Angels etc. We have "firms" who support the colors of their own fan club, have alliances protect their districts, control drug traficking etc... usually its connected to football, but when their football club is emberasing bad, they move to basketball or some other sport... but overall for them it doesn't matter...

People say sports in the US is entertainment, but I disagree. American sports is not entertainment - it's a pass-time. A spots venue in the US is where you go to die of boredom surrounded by other people as an alternative to dying of boredom at home all by yourself. (That mostly applies to the NFL; NBA is good.) The Super Bowl is so utterly boring that they had to come up with half-time performances by the trending pop star, TV commercials premiering and "kiss cameras" so that the public wouldn't fall asleep. And the main discussion topics are exposed nipples and whether it is heresy to have some verses of "America the Beautiful" sang in Spanish...

With all due respect this is technically Europe but we're talking about few countries. In Greece, Turkey and Serbia, basketball is even more important then football. For example Yugoslavia was 5 times World Champion in basketball. Enough said. You won't find this kind of atmosphere in Spain or Italy or Germany. I live I Madrid and I'm a fan of Partizan Belgrade. Here Real Madrid basketball match is for elderly and kids because you sit and sing a little while eating popcorns. Back at home Red Star and Partizan match is a war zone. Its funny how Europe wants to separete and distance from this part (Balkans, Turkey etc) of Europe constantly (non Eu, economic issues, influence of Russia etc) but when it comes to something positive they say "yeah its Europe". And it isn't when it comes to us crossing borders. Hypocrites
