NBA JAM (1993) Roster & Player Attributes

Hope you find this video helpful for all the NBA JAM fans out there. I will upload the Full T.E Rosters (Sega Genesis) and also the Arcade versions. The Home consoles are based on the 1993-94 NBA Season, the Arcade rosters are from the 1992-93 Season.I will try my best to record and upload the roster from NBA JAM T.E for Sega Saturn. There were changes in that game including an updated roster and more hidden characters & cheats. Enjoy!

Love the nostalgia here but the attributes cannot be accurate. Reggie Millers 3 pointers is at half while Isiah Thomas is full. Even worse is Rony Seikely having a full bar yet in the 93-94 season he made 0 and only shot 2. I wonder what was going on.

@@scifyry make it make sense 😂. Rony attempted 32 three pointers in his career and only made 6. This will forever be an anomaly. At least the Isiah Thomas one was explained by the game creators being hardcore Pistons fans

Boy does this bring back some memories. I've never forgotten that Rony Seikaly had the best 3 point rating out of anyone lol. WTF were they thinking?? Some other anomalies, Drexler, Person, Dominique, Reggie Miller should have had higher 3 point ratings and Augmon, Mourning, Parish, Weatherspoon and of course Seikaly should be way less.

the reason for that is he has Shaq's stats because Shaq was actually in the Arcade edition but they couldn't get the rights to him for the home console so they just plugged Anderson in instead. This is before Miller and some of those other players you're mentioning were established 3pt shooters and Seikaly was by far the best 3pt shooting big man in the game. Other games at this time he was also a beast from downtown (NBA Jam 95 he was unstoppable from down town).

DiVerse it was just a different game back then as far as seikaly is concerned. It was their way of including Shaq without having him agree to be in the game, more of an effort to be sneaky than lazy

Unfortunately no (Payton/Jordan or Shaq) BTW Being it was based in the 92-93 season the CELTICS still could have had (McHale & Bird) on that team, especially since "Parish" was in it, but to me the best combo is a Big Center for Dunking/Defense & little PG for Speed/3pt shooting!

Marcos Lopez Licensing Issues, Gary Payton stated that he and Michael was in a version that no one has access to. He still has those JAM Machines, got about three. Shaq only appeared in the Arcade version & Barkley didn’t appear in T.E. I hope I helped you, I always wanted MJ in NBA JAM. There’s a Old School Edition ROM Hack with Michael in it.

The original arcade console had some interesting choices for each teams' paired up duo... The most curious thing was that the developers picked Benoit Benjamin to be paired with Shawn Kemp!? Benoit Benjamin???? Almost any other player on the roster (the roster to at the start of 92-93) was a better fit. Ricky Pierce was still a great player. Derrick McKey was still good, as were Eddie Johnson, and Nate McMillan. Even Payton in 92, is a far better choice (GP's 92-93 season was where he turned the corner, in becoming a great player and team leader)! The Suns team was Barkley and Thunder Dan. Penny wasn't a rookie in the 92-93 season, but what is funny about the Magic duo is that Scott Skiles was picked over Nick Anderson, or Dennis Scott? I think either of them would've been a better addition to play with Shaq.
