My fav Shaq story told by Dennis Scott. Teammates in Orlando....but not at the time of the story. Dennis Scott said, that he had swung down at the ball....to of course try to knock the ball out of Shaq's hands. Dennis Scott emphasized that he had done a windup, to swing downward as hard as he could. Ball did not budge, Shaq scored, and Dennis Scott immediately ran off the court into the locker room.....he had separated his shoulder. That's how strong Shaq was/is.

When Shaq was at LSU, they played Duke one game. The noise was DEAFENING to say the least. Guys were going NUTS about this kid from LSU. I had never in my life seen a big man move that fast and dunk that hard. He had a predator mindset, and ruled the paint with an iron fist. Highly aggressive and dominant; definitely a 90’s type player.

Shaq was a force. People don't know I was in club heroes in Orlando one day. Came around the corner, not paying attention and bumped into Shaq. He helped me up off the ground and said my bad man. At the time I was duty NAVY so I felt like I was a little tough, but there was nothing for me to say, but my bad I should've been watching where I was going. He smiled, pat me on the head, and I kept moving. They had just lost to the bulls and provided us with some military tickets courtside. Never forgot that day.

I remember back in 03 when o was playing college ball. Big fella my teammate wanted to play shaq in real life. Our coach overheard our chitchat and he got us a huddle. I will remember him saying "shaq, you mean like oneal from the lakers? He going to eat you alive up and down the court you gotta feel like dying really slow". That hit my teammate so much that when we graduated he became a first respnder and always mentioned safety is always first. Life changing

I think the most important thing that was pointed out was that if Shaq wasn't able to control his emotions and his temper, his career would have gone differently. All those dudes hacking at him for 15 years and he very rarely got upset. Dudes these days throw all sorts of tantrums at the slightest touch.
