Chris Webber was one of the greatest, yet most overlooked power forwards of all time. In his prime, he was just as good as any superstar in the NBA. Unfortunately, his NBA career did not end as well as he hoped. In 2002 the Sacramento Kings had one of the most well balanced teams of all time. Led by Chris Webber, Peja Stojakovic, Mike Bibby, Vlade Divac and Doug Christie the Kings had the best record in the entire league. If not for some questionable officiating in the 2002 Western Conference Finals against the Lakers the Kings may have won their first NBA championship.

Chris Webber nowadays in this Adam Silver basketball would average 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. He was a player with a lot of class and passing ability. He deserves to be remembered as one of the greats in his position.

@@lastman4853 According to Basketball Reference, he played 100% of the time as a center for 2 years, scoring over 20 points, grabbing more than 10 rebounds, making 2 blocks, and dishing out 4 assists... One of those years was his rookie year. Throughout his entire career, he played 30% of the time as a center and 70% as a power forward. Of course, he was capable of playing as a center... one must know what they're talking about before writing nonsense on the internet.

I would like to salute Chris Webber for putting his pride/ego to the side and coming to play for the Sacramento Kings. Those was good years in my 20s living here in Sacramento when Chris Webber, Jason Williams, Mike Bibby, Bobby Jackson, Doug Christie and I can keep going on with the list of outstanding players on that roster at the time, we should have been able to have the privilege to play for the championship ring , but because of big city little city they didn’t want to see my Sacramento Kings win the championship ring that year because we would have whooped the nets easily, but I guess the power at B wanted the bigger city of California to have the spotlight.

I was a junior in high school in northern Michigan when Webber was a senior at Detroit Country Day. I kept hearing news about this kid in Detroit, minus social media. I turned on the TV one spring Saturday morning (3 channels with outdoor antenna) There it was Chris Webber playing in the Palace for MHSAA Basketball Finals. I had never heard of these guys because we didn’t have media outlets like we do today. And during that game he made his announcement to attend UofM.

C Webb does not get the respect he deserves. He is an ALL Time Great. Should be talked about as a top 75 all time player. He had that knee injury and it cut his career a little short, but man was he a beast. One of his favorite players was Magic and you can see it in his game. He has a lot of Magic in his style and ability to pass and lead a break. If Cwebb played today he would be a center and I'm sure worked on the outside game a little more, but either way he would be DOMINANT as a center today. MVP caliber and up there with Joker and Embid easily.

My favorite player as a teenager. The shoulder injury he suffered with the bullets/wizards and then the micro fracture knee injury with the Kings is the only reason he isn't talked about with KG, Duncan, and Dirk. If sheed didn't get the ring with the pistons then he would be forgotten on those lists like C Webb

With the exception of Duncan, I can’t definitively say any of the power forwards of that era were better than CWebb. He got robbed of some of his prime years, but he was a top 5 player in the league for a bit and had the Kings in title contention. A couple bounces go their way, and they would’ve kept the Lakers from being a dynasty. Undeniable talent and one of the best passing bigs ever
