I think the age was a big factor back denn in the 80s also the fact that in the 90s was more competition and the level was higher. You got the best wisdom of 4 decades of this beautiful game. Plus the best of them many still active at that time. Of course it was harder for MJ to win. Eventhogh he had a wonder full team in Chicago,talent,the will, discipline and the best physical trainer, he did had dark and very difficult times facing other players.

And we'll yes, he was a very profitable merchandise. He did good deals for back then. Huge events like the 92 Olympic games made him to shine, to be better know around the globe even if you were a basketball type of person. And for the very reason that he was playing around with a world wide elite. He was a wonder full player like some many others but yes, the external circumstances pushed him to the limit and times made him a legend.

Jordan averaged 28.2 points per game as a rookie in 84-85 season. In his second season he broke his foot and missed the entire regular season. He came back in the playoffs and dropped 63 points against the World Champion Boston Celtics in 86. Then he came back in his third season and averaged 37.1 points per game. Jordan had this extremely raw, competitive nature and he possessed a killer instinct.

@jayelbee11112 жыл бұрын
@@radixonix839 Weak era? Jordan played in an era when two-handed checking on defense was allowed, and he was double-teamed and in some cases was tripled-teamed. Jordan took a lot of physical abuse against teams like the Bad Boy Pistons, the front line Celtics or the Knicks. He had to work extremely hard to get into the lane to score or to get his shot off over defenders. Defense in the NBA was very physical during that era. When a player that can average from 32 to 37 points per game and take that kind of abuse is insane. Also, Jordan's body fat percentage during his prime was around 4 percent which is insane. He also had a 48 inch vertical leap. Jordan would have averaged 45-50 points per game if he would have played in today's NBA game.

ETX Sports that’s such a bad argument that contradicts itself when discussing MJ. People say he had the best work ethic, drive to get better but for some odd reason didn’t improve his three. Mj entering the league was the greatest witness of greatness to ever walk onto the court. From his first game every expert and news headline was anticipating his game like it was the finals. Ticket sales in chicago sky rocketed and the guy hasnt even played a game yet. everyone and i mean everyone in the sports world was ready for the phenom that is michael jordan to touch the court and show the world his magic. and it wasn't until his first game, that we finally got what we were waiting for. The stadium goes crazy as he double clutches beneath the basket and reverse lays it in. The basketball world knew immediately that it wasnt a fluke, this man would take the sport by storm. And that he did..traveling on the road tickets across the league continued to surge wherever he went. evidently so, no matter the away team he faced the world would cheer for him. Everyone came from high to low to see the man they heard would be the greatest to ever touch the court. This all went down his rookie season.
