In the video Below the Rim, Muggsy Bogues actually criticizes the Washington Bullets for drafting him. He suggests the Bullets drafted him for a 'novelty act' and 'just something to sell tickets' but were not really committed to him. It was done to have him play with Manute Bol, but Bogues didn't find it amusing.

People thought he was gonna be a joke, but in reality he was a really good player. He was a good on-ball defender given he's only 5'3". On top of that he was a great passer, averaged more than 10 apg in two seasons and averaged more than 7.5 apg over 9 seasons. He lacked size, but had a big heart, never stopped working. I admire players like him.

Muggsy Bogues should've made an appearance on every version of NBA Hangtime whether it'd be based on 1995-96 or 1996-97 as a member of the Charlotte Hornets. It's sad that Muggsy spent his later years with Golden State and Toronto from 1997-98 to 2000-01.
