Adam Silver wasn't lenient because he's a nice guy. He didnt suspend Murray because he wanted to make the most money as possible for that game. Had Murray been suspended, it will lose viewership, lessen the chance for an extended playoff series, and also hit the Las Vegas betting line.

Plenty of people admit to doing stuff and even admit that it shouldn't of happened while still not actually being sorry.
