To be fair, I am a bit sick of hearing talk about the Thunder vs Mavericks matchup... Super excited about the game, just the speculation before it has been kind of dumb. I just want to watch them play. The Celtics and Cavaliers matchup doesn't seem worth talking about. There is only so long we can talk about the Nuggets losing 2 at home. Maybe I should just stop procrastinating and get back to work...

@@bigballer6666 yep, because you can say "LeGM" or its AD's fault but at the end of the day Pelinka is the one doing the signing and firing. And don't say he was strongarm into doing it because this season he kept Darvin even though the whole team including Lebron and AD were clearly fed up from Darvin which means he can make his own decision. And i'm no Basketball player, can't even properly dribble but even i was able to see that Russ wont fit with the Lakers. He's pretty much a small Lebron with less shooting, less playmaking, and less ball handling which means he will clog up the paint which also means there will be no room for both AD and Lebron who needs the paint to be effective.

People always miss the point with Mark Jackson. If you do a little bit of reading you’ll understand pretty quickly why he hasn’t had a HC job since Golden State. It’s not because of X’s and O’s. Apparently he allowed his faith to become heavily distracting to the team and it started making some guys uncomfortable. Apparently he was prioritizing his duties as a pastor, refusing to hold practices or show up to games on Sundays, throwing holy water on Steph Curry’s ankles and stuff like that. I have no problem w religion but when your religious fervor is making someone as devout as Steph Curry uncomfortable, I think it’s safe to say it’d make most people uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate because I think Mark is a good coach, but if he was alienating both players and front office staff like it’s been reported he was, that’s just not the type of behavior that’s gonna get you another head coaching job in the NBA.

Mark Jackson was an excellent defensive coach but had no plan or system for the offense other than "Steph, Klay, take us to the promised land". It’s only two coaches that could put lebunny James in his place but then he will leave and go to a lower market team just so he can control the show and plus lebunny said he doesn’t want to be coached by a high profile coach This team is going to be in the hole until he leaves.

Man just hire a fresh new coach with good assistant experience in drawing up plays .. Look at the best coaches in the NBA this yr, and why they earned their first jobs: Mark Dagnieault, Chris Finch, Joe Mazulla, even going back to prev. years the coaches we hailed: Michael Malone, Coach Spo, Nick Nurse, Taylor Jenkins, etc. they are there overachieving because of their experience. To me I will give a very good option in my opinion for the Lakers: Look for Knicks Assistant Coach Johnnie Bryant and if he's available. He's young, probably will be very innovative, and has a very good resume from the Jazz and Knicks. He was a Player Development Coach early on with the Jazz back in the mid-2010s --> and look how the Jazz culture and players have all succeeded in growing in that era. Look how great the players on the Knicks are developing in the 2020s. Johnnie Bryant deserves a look in my opinion given his promising high-potential track record.
