Luka is the primary reason for his teammates playing well. When Luka comes out playing well early on, defenses have to cave in on him, leaving Luka's teammates more open. Also, the defenses aren't able to double Dinwiddie, allowing him to look like he did for the Nets when defenses tried to play him one on one. Luka will be the face of the league very soon. Imagine if he had 1 good all-star teammate along with 3-4 good role players...

They basicly got no clean looks in first half (dallas eased off in 2nd half on defense with near 50 pt lead-makes sense). It wasnt like they were just missing open looks. Actualy I would bet Dallas missed way more good looks in first half than suns did, which is insane. Dallas looks pretty legit and have smashed suns suncs end of g2
@johnhenry29032 жыл бұрын
It's their own fault, they wanted a "fun" team centered around perimeter guys and stopped developing Ayton. To make matters worse they brought in Chris Paul and forced Ayton into 100% screen for Paul and rim run just so Paul could put up illusion numbers. So you get into a series where the coach eventually says we're not letting Booker beat us and the other perimeter players got exposed for what they've always been, guys that can't consistently get their own shot. It's going to be a different ball game against GSW, if they try to double or trap Steph there will be 2 or 3 other guys on the court that can beat people off the dribble.

I disagree with Shaq about it "just being one of those games". They allowed 23 2nd chance points whereas Dallas allowed NONE. That's a massive massive tell that Phoenix just didn't show up to play tonight. Booker scoring 11 points and only getting his first FG with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. They shot poorly and getting down early was tough but real good teams don't give up like Phoenix did tonight. You can live with a game 7 loss, the loss itself isn't the problem cause only one team can win but to go out like that in a game 7 on your home court, that's just embarrassing and they should be ashamed of their effort.

This is the most embarrassing blowout loss I’ve ever watched, the fact that this was a game 7 with everything on the line, the Suns were highly favored and at home and on top of that dominated the Mavs to start the series, for them to go out like this is gonna forever be a stain on Chris Paul’s legacy (which is already stained as it is) and for Book this doesn’t look good for him either because he was flat out pathetic. Chris Paul should now be called the Point Fraud instead of Point God, his poor history in big moments outshines every good thing he’s ever done on the court imo. Seeing Phoenix get humbled in this manner is the most satisfying thing I’ve experienced all year. All of that griddy’ing, crip-walking, and doing the dougie before games like they’re untouchable finally got them exactly what they deserve: a DEVASTATING L. Now they can do all their favorite TikTok dances on IG Live in their living rooms! 😂😂😂

I disagree with Shaq: the Suns entered the playoffs with the best record in franchise history and as the team with most wins. They then painfully struggled against a much, much weaker play-in team in the Pelicans (it should have been a clean sweep series) and then struggled mightly against the clear underdog Mavs. This is now a pattern that the Suns need to fix if they want to win a ring.

Suns got shookt on game 6, pressure to win was on them having the best team record this year.

They’ll never get as close to a ring as last year. All down here from here with cp3 & can ayton & Booker really lead them to a chip with all of these players making their mark? Doubt it.

Idk about a sweep vs NO, maybe 4-1, because those boys went down fighting. However, that NO series definitely cast doubts about the Sun's ability to handle a top 5 team... I just don't think the result would've been _this_ bad.

Suns fans mad quiet now. Loved watching an entire franchise get humbled.

They have guys like booker who don't play defence, ayton who's just big and Chris Paul who's the most overrated player in recent history, hope they get spanked again.

It was not "one of those nights" by any means. That doesn't just happen to a team lie the Suns. I bet what their coach was trying to say was that they let all the praises during their regular season get to their head, underestimated their opponents and got way to brash and instead of changing their game plan and staying strong, they deformed into franticness once they realized what was happening. The same thing happened the previous game, this one was just worse.

Luka is always at his best during an elimination game and he had experience vs the clippers...the trade for dwinwide for KP was the turning point for Dallas....

Yeah I'm so optimistic. This team had a very clear ceiling with KP and his contract on the team. The team feels more dynamic and just better energy.

A game like this doesn’t just happen. How many times have we watched Chris Paul come up short in these big games…granted when he was in Houston he got hurt so that wasn’t on him but you cannot play a game like this. They did all that in the RS and they didn’t even get to the WCF…I guess I didn’t miss anything by being at work tonight cause I would have ended up turning it off watching that dismal of a game….Chris Paul comes up short again..gotta wonder if he will ever get a ring…
@Chase-vl9cp2 жыл бұрын
"Got hurt". Funny how CP3 always ends up with an injury when it looks like he's gonna get eliminated. Last year it was the "shoulder injury" that left him "unable to even shoot" right... up until it magically disappeared when AD got hurt

@DankBirdGang522 жыл бұрын
Sports are emotional as much as they are physical, when your shots aren't falling and the other team can't seem to miss, that's just how games go. Add to the fact most game 7's in the NBA playoffs are very sloppy, and both teams can go cold. When that happens on one side it starts to fall on everyone. It's just how games go. Both teams in the Finals last season got spanked on the same day in a game 7. It is what it is.
@slizobreeze25712 жыл бұрын
No he is not gonna get a ring. But that won’t define him, the fact that he is even competing with his contemporaries at this age will be great enough for his legacy. The suns had a bad game and Luka didn’t. The Don possesses magic.
@Mumpitzify2 жыл бұрын
the one thing that separated the two teams was team defense. the mavs eliminated the suns team d by constantly isolating while playing tremendous team defense themselves, trapping booker constantly and forcing others to make plays which resulted in a 6 minute scoring drought in the 2nd quarter, holding them to a season low 27 in the first half. up 30 g7 all time high at half... jesus we whiped them off the floor. it was a party.
