He thrives when he isn’t asked to be THE guy like he was in Minny. Now he’s comfortable and just plays his game. No pressure to carry the offense every night. Like it or not, some players just don’t enjoy being that main guy. Wiggins is happy being the 3rd/4th option and brings great defense as well as effort every night.

Wiggins contract is an absolute boat anchor. It’s incredible that he didn’t just take the cash and run. The fact that the warriors have gotten him to buy in, let alone produce and be an all star is all you need to see that chemistry and how successful it’s been for both of them. The warriors are just a garden of Eden, anyone will succeed there. McGee, Bogut, Livingston, Quinn cook… Quinn cook was so insanely inflated on GSW people thought he was gonna be the second coming of Derek fisher on the lakers, now he’s in the G league. Wiggins contract could have ruined this team, luckily they’re getting something -quite a bit actually- out of it.

They're playing the mentally toughest team in the league, after beating the mentally weakest team in the Suns, so they weren't prepared for this. The Suns are loaded with talent, but CP3 has always come unglued in crucial series, and the rest of the team lacked the leadership and toughness it would take to overcome the annual Paul collapse. What's ironic about this is a couple of years ago when Paul played a game 7 against the Rockets he boasted about "being built for big games." There had never been any evidence of that before, and his fourth quarter turnover-and-brick binge in that game was more evidence that he shrivels up in the biggest games. So no surprise he suddenly seemed so feeble in Games 6 and 7 against the Mavs. The Dubs are pretty much the exact opposite of that, and it's hit the Mavs hard.

That +/- stat is so out of context. The losing team in the series will always have a minus box score and Luka played more minutes for the Mavs than anybody so his box score is the lowest cause of that.

Van Gundy said it best when he remarked that Luka got 40 but he got half of it after the game had been decided. That's what people often don't see about the Warriors. They're such good shooters with great ball movement that once they're up by 10 the game is basically over. They really don't care if you score when they lead like that because they'll just come back down and score again. And again. And again. Teams wear themselves out thinking they're still in it but they can never catch them. The Warriors didn't care that Luka got 20 in the 4th. All they care about is the W, and they didn't even have to exert maximum effort to get it.

Lot of people hate the Warriors cuz of the KD era. But it’s hard to hate them nowadays when the same homegrown stars are playing well and their young stars like Poole, Kuminga, Moody are developing and contributing. Wiggins and even Porter before he got hurt found a little resurgence in their careers. They play a great style of ball that’s fun to watch and wins games. No selfish players either. I was definitely wrong about this series. I thought Dallas would push Golden State to the limit. But just like in boxing how styles make fights, match ups make games or series. And Golden St because of their ball movement just makes a tough match up for Dallas. Just too many shooters, and Luka as great as he is definitely slows down the offense which seems like it playing right into GS hands.

Battled against the Clippers his sophomore and junior year and pushed them to their limits with Kawhi and PG guarding him and still lit them up and carried his team to wins. He's lead his team to their first WCF since 2011 and no one expected them to be where they are right now. Luka will retire top 15 all time without a doubt.

@@mornediablo7819 Teams have had four years to figure him out, it doesn't take that long. It takes one year to figure out a player's tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. I'm a Lakers fan and watched how he torched other teams his rookie year but the Lakers were able to shut him down. Luka works through it, he is a generational talent and will be the face of the NBA for the rest of his career. His lack of athleticism hasn't hindered him and will provide a long career for him. He's not great defensively but that can be improved. He doesn't need to be a great defender to be a top all time player. If he develops solid off ball defense, which he is already decent at, he'll have very few knocks on his game. He's 23, not in his prime. Like I said, stop hating and appreciate him as a player.
