I would like to see him move back to NBL and show he can be of starter quality and thrive. ..you got to be dominant outside USA to be part of NBA. It's double standard but that's just how it is. One fantastic season is all he needs. The big improvement I see is he has grown into his body now,...he moves normal now with the added weight, his back does not hurt anymore due to improved posture, and doesn't tire fast as before. You can see he runs more normal now. If he can improve his long 2s and block shots left handed, he'll be more complete.

PBA should allow 1 and done players to align to NBA pathway. Other countries even allow HS players like Doncic to play professionally at 15y. In Pinas, we made good strides with 2 and done but still they're a year older vs other NBA draft prospects and that just puts them in a bigger disadvantage. Look at Amos, Jumamoy, and Moore, still in UAAP at 20y while Sarr, Perrin and Risacher of France are 19/20 going into NBA already this year due to having played already 1 year of professional basketball.

Kai went undrafted in 2022 and hasn't been able to get attention from the NBA. He received poor management advice coming out of high school, especially joining Ignite and then leaving it abruptly, instead of accepting a development program with Real Madrid or even competing in the US NCAA. It seems he has righted the ship, but he needs maybe another year or so playing against top-level competition, improve his skills, and grow into his body. Filipinos wish the best for him, but I think his ceiling is Euroleague or China. If he does make it to the NBA, he will likely ride the pine.
