Thank you everyone for watching! We truly appreciate the support. I would like to clear some things up: As a brand new channel we are still ironing things out. We now know after publishing this video that some images aren’t accurate. We will continue to get better and strive to be the best basketball channel on KZbin, which we are confident we will achieve. Making mistakes and learning from them all play a part in the process of an early channel on KZbin. We would like to end with this: The voice you hear in the video is a real human voice. It is NOT AI. Nothing in our creating process is AI. Once again thanks for all the love and support!

I'm going to be brutally honest with you. When I come across a video like this announcing itself as a new up and coming force in the KZbin NBA doc/commentary space, with a dude speaking over it who is clearly American yet doesn't know how to pronounce numerous players' names, it just seems really fishy and shady to me. Like weird content farm stuff that doesn't actually care about the game. Good content is good content but I'm just saying.

This whole situation for Klay was the fire he needed to come back. He's going to thrive in the Mavericks system and I for one can't wait to see him play without these frustrations anymore. He deserves to be valued for everything he's done for us, but he also needs this kick in the boot to get him back over the slump.

Agree both did wrong. Still mostly on Klay though. Klay's endearing persona made his supersized ego/arrogance not too obvious. Something must have been said/done to fatally wound Klay's ego from which he could not recover and thus become blind to whatever good the organization has also done for him. His 1st injury was "on the job" during a 2019 Finals game. The 2nd injury was not - it was in some random pickup game in L.A. at the end of his rehab period but before his return to practice/scrimmage with the team. So that's on him, and he seems in denial, incapable of coming to grips with the consequences of such bad decision. And yet he was still given a max contract extension. Subsequent contract extensions for both Wiggins and Green, were aligned with the duration of Curry's latest contract extension. So was the 2-year contract extension offered to Klay. He declined the offer and became overly focused on proving himself as deserving more. Although Klay said all the right things, his attitude and demeanor said otherwise, ultimately becoming toxic detrimental to team chemistry and success. Hoping the big 3 Steph-Dray-Klay could have stayed together their entire careers - it would have been a singular accomplishment. But as always the big 3 letters EGO wins.

Klay has never been the same since he came back from his two year injury out the game. Charles Barkley called him out on the air which Klay responded with a forty plus game. Exactly one game. Then immediately sunk back to increasing diminishing returns. The Warriors and Kerr left him in the starting rotation far longer than any organization would have and his past accomplishments, his amazing resume and team loyalty toward him gave him more second chances than should have been alloted. It all culminating into his embarrassing grand stage disaster playoff outing scoring zero points despite playing the entire game. The Warriors kept investment in him despite the lack of results and ever decreasing productivity even off the bench cost The Warriors and Curry two years for another ring they can't get back. It boggles the mind then when athletes conveniently forget all this at the negotiation table. The Mavs signed a sinking ship. He is going to be an expensive bench warner for Luka.
@noctwice
@noctwice 3 ай бұрын
Klay couldn’t accept moving to the bench even though his play put him there. Same exactly situation will likely play out on the Mavs. How are they going to play their big three together? Defense will be almost non existent if they start them all. Klay didn’t want to go back to the Warriors not because of money but because of ego. Probably hardest part for future hall of famers to accept. They aren’t the same player anymore after two season ending injuries.

@@karledwinmolina-fn4np Klay was signed to his max contract after his ACL injury. Klay went on to an additional season ending injury a year later trying to come back from his ACL and tore his achilles. For many players that injury is career ending not just season ending. Klay fought back and returned then the Warriors went on to win another chip. But let’s not be fooled. Klay isn’t the same player and lacks the mobility he had prior to injury. I don’t think Klay suffered from performance anxiety. The Warriors did not offer Klay another max contract but neither was under an illusion a max contract was available. The Warrior’s offered Klay $48 million over two years. Klay bet on himself and rejected the offer. Ultimately Klay signed for $50 million over three years and a fresh start with Dallas.

Mullin ended in Indiana .. Hardaway in Miami.. Richardson in Phoenix..the Warriors don’t have legacy players in their history that go start to finish. . Every one that you can make an argument for ended their career elsewhere. I’ve been a warriors fan since 1986,. In the business of the NBA , it never takes a backseat to the player no matter how big a star or superstar they are. You have Dirk, Duncan., Kobe.. who else? Even Scottie and MJ moved on from Chicago, Hakeem ended up in Toronto, Shaq played on how many teams? Magic, Lakers, Boston, Miami, phoenix? LeBron started in Cleveland, then Miami, then back to Cleveland., now LA.

Then he started complaining to refs (which he never did for 11 yrs) started publicly arguing with his coaching staff, started ignoring his teammates on the bench because he wasn't starting then the icing on the cake was when he wouldn't even shake Steph's hand. The Warriors offered him 2 yrs 50 million while the Mavs offered him 3 yrs 48 million. At some point, he'll humble himself once again and realize his ego is what shifted his career, not the people you worked with for 13 years.

Klay only wanted to be a starter and was reported having anger/attitude problems off court. He isn’t coming to terms with his present self. GS,LAL not giving him the starting spot yet Mavs are speaks a lot of his choice. As much as people are saying that GSW management were the ones that made Klay leave by a half hearted deal, u gotta know that if they gave Klay a big contract and he still couldn’t perform, Stef and Dray would leave. If 1 out of 3 of them had to leave which would you rather let go? Dray has his issues but at least he still can play D and facilitate well. As much of a Klay fan i am…he’s just been jackin up ill advised shots and not having any impact on D.

Klay Thompson decided to leave the Golden State Warriors and join the Dallas Mavericks in free agency for several reasons: 1. Contract Negotiations: There was a halt in productive contract discussions between Thompson and the Warriors. This lack of progress signaled an imminent exit. 2. Desire for Change: During his introductory press conference with the Mavericks, Thompson mentioned that “sometimes change can spur greatness.” He felt that a new environment could re-energize him and bring a fresh start to his career. 3. Feeling Valued: Thompson expressed that he wanted to feel wanted and find joy in playing basketball again. He mentioned that there were tough times during his final season with the Warriors, and a fresh start with the Mavericks was appealing. 4. Team Dynamics: The Warriors were looking to make significant changes to jump back to the top of the Western Conference, which limited what they could offer Thompson in negotiations. 5. Role Changes: Thompson was moved to the bench for the first time since his rookie season, which was a difficult adjustment for him. This change in his role contributed to his decision to seek a new opportunity. Overall, Klay’s departure was a culmination of these factors, leading him to believe that moving on could bring new opportunities and a renewed sense of excitement for his career.

Klay hasn't been the humble low maintenance player he was in his prime ever since the injuries. They did more damage to him mentally than physically. He never accepted what happened regardless of what he said. How he acted on the court and in the locker room showed he was and is a broken man. It's a sad thing to see but objectively the team is much better with with him gone. He stood in the way JP and was a key reason that the development of the younger players has been so disjointed. It's a failing on the team that he was never held accountable for his toxic behaviour these last few years despite Donkey getting all the headlines for his equally toxic behaviour. He had an opportunity post injury to change his game and approach but he didn't take it and he and the team suffered the consequences. I feel bad for Mavs fans if they think he is going to solve any of their problems.

GS didn't want to pay him? They paid him a MAX contract after he got injured. Klay got paid max money to rehab for over two years. Then GS offered him a better deal last summer than any other team ended up offering him before this season, but Klay turned it down and after the new CBA kicked in, GS literally couldn't offer him the same deal again. Klay is the reason he's no longer in GS, not GS.

Draymond Green can be associated with Dennis Rodman in several ways. Both players are known for their defensive prowess and intensity on the court. Rodman was a rebounding beast and had an uncanny ability to get into opponents’ heads, disrupting their game. Similarly, Draymond excels in defense and brings a high level of intensity to every game. However, Draymond’s contributions go beyond just defense. He is also a key playmaker for the Warriors, with excellent court vision and passing ability that help facilitate the team’s offense. His leadership and versatility allow him to play multiple positions effectively, adapting to the team’s needs. Draymond’s high basketball IQ enables him to make smart decisions that benefit the team both offensively and defensively. In summary, while Rodman was exceptional in rebounding and psychological tactics, Draymond’s overall game, including his playmaking and leadership, makes him a crucial part of the Warriors’ success. Both players have unique strengths that significantly contribute to their teams, but Draymond’s well-rounded skill set sets him apart. Their contributions have been instrumental in their teams winning championships, showcasing how vital they are to their respective teams’ success.
