@pennytrui11494 ай бұрын
It uses many sensors to drive it isn't like a tesla it can see in total darkness, fog and rain because of the lidar sensor and radar, sensor. Plus it also uses 29 camera's it has a secondary computer in the car if the primary one fails so I think waymo got it covered if something happens
@shadowsnake38674 ай бұрын
@@pennytrui1149 it doesn't matter if you have sensors everything wears out as well. What if waymo's back up control happens to have a surge. The only way to make this work with less potential of risk is building something like the true recall movie a robot to be activated to take control of the wheel. You can put as many sensors there but exposure to outside elements wears them down. The other way is completely eliminate the ability of people to drive and you can set up everything to centralized in a single system. This would lessen the burden of relying on sensors. The sensor and AI function even failed to recognize a police and its gestures or voice. Tesla fails due to their focus of speed and if the car is moving too fast the sensors fails or their brakes gets worn out too fast due to how fast it is with you constantly breaking. However, Tesla still shows better results than waymo at the moment.

@shadowsnake38673 ай бұрын
@@pennytrui1149 what it literally said waymo is declining to comment on the specific incidents. Just because waymo is operational doesn't mean it's doing well. If they are really confident on their product they would not even just hide it on a single controlled areas and a news reporter that they can control the questions or what they can show. A real one would go to tech expo be in the open with live demonstration, questions without control, and pinned against another developer. Being on the news is playing safe. If you do ratio and proportion of course tesla would out do waymo accidents as tesla is all over the world. Why won't waymo do the same thing. Simple you need control so any pr nightmare it's easier to put out on a mini state. If they are confident put it on new york, Los Angeles and Tokyo Japan one of the busiest cities and let's see how those sensors and AI can do.
