That bumper when the kid is lost and asks for help...Thank John Walsh for that ...His son Adam Walsh was kidnapped from a mall in Florida, Jcpenny (and others) had a policy not to make announcements for lost kids

Strange policy. Most places today will call anyone over the intercom that asks. Typically though, if a child or parent asks a sales person, there is a “code yellow,” and everyone with a communication device listens in on the description. Typically it’s a parent describing the kid. But with multiple employees involved, it’s easier to search for, and exits are heavily monitored. In any case, that policy would not have saved Adam Walsh. He was kicked out of Sears when a scuffle started around the video games regarding who’s turn it was. All the kids were escorted out a particular exit, which was not the same entrance Adam entered with his mother. The security guard asked the boys, who were much older, if their moms were inside the store, and they all said no. Adam, who was only 6yo, was (most likely) too shy to speak up. I mean, who could blame him. His mom left him with the video game. And the guard made him leave. Adults can’t make mistakes. He clearly must’ve done something horribly wrong to be kicked out. And then another adult showed up to help, so he trusted him as well, sadly.
