Man just give me more Chris Simms that guy is a great interview
@lucasborja37976 жыл бұрын
Simms is a very good analyst, he doesn't have easy takes, doesn't go with the flow of mainstream media and carves his own opinion and bases it on studying the game a lot which is something most analysts don't do much
@wolfman62526 жыл бұрын
Chris may not have achieved what his father did on the field (no knock on his resume, not that many people play QB in the NFL) but he is a good football interview. Extremely interesting.

OMG Brandon!!!! You really feel that way? Rogers? Steve Young was better. My gosh!!
@brandondaniels94716 жыл бұрын
I actually think Brady is the G.O.A.T. But that's just my opinion/preference. And, the fact that Simms doesn't agree with all of my opinions doesn't necessarily mean that he's not an excellent analyst/interview. *Society has lost touch with the ability to respect those who they disagree with and to still see the brilliance in the other person in spite of the disagreements. I like that Simms always explains his stances in a logical manner even when I disagree with him.*

Brandon Daniels, I remember his college recruiting, his time at Austin and his style in front of the cameras and then his NFL career. He is not qualified to be an NFL commentator. It isn't my thinking his ranking of QB's being anti-Tom....not at all. I love Brady BUT I do think John Elway was the best QB of all time. (I'm a Patriots fan not a Broncos fan.) RG3 "the way he acts and carries himself.." ? Really Chris?

What "qualifies" you was a NFL commentator qualifier?

Joe Della Selva Young had Rice and T.O and a average Arm so he ain't on Rodgers level in terms of Talent or probably playing the position at all.

if you look at the Jags whenever they played an elite/borderline elite team their defense got demolished but by playing many weaker teams and playing the texans with watson and colts without luck certainly helps the defense get some crazy numbers. They had some crazy stats games against average teams

Really surprised Chris didn't pick Montana as best ever. Or even Marino. For those of us who grew up watching the dominant Niners of late 80s and the early 1990s loaded QBs
@user-uc9nl9wy7i5 ай бұрын
Because Montana played on the best teams while elway and marino didnt thats whats he saying for rodegrs and brady, kinda like purdy hurts last two years but josh allen is the team.
@allendalephillips6 жыл бұрын
No one can argue Rodgers is one of the most talented qb's in league history. Dislike the guy, but love how easy the game looks for him, but you can make the same case for Drew Brees or Russell Wilson. Brady is not the greatest for his talent, it is his guts, grit, drive, determination, and leadership. I wish I could say it was Brees, as a saints fan, but I am a football fan 1st

I know this should be some love for Joe Montana
@harrukuehn66616 жыл бұрын
One coach said Tom has at least one thing over Rodgers. The it factor that goes beyond stats. Montana had it, same things said about Joe as said about Tom. But these men had leadership that inspired confidence. That if it was possible to win a game they would find it. Brady Montana magic, Brady beats them all Superbowl 49 and 51. You could argue was the greatest performance by an athlete in any sport.

Dan Patrick how can u say Elway is the best QB? Normally I agree with what you are saying but that's just blasphemous
@jasonchilds53976 жыл бұрын
Brady 3 Montana not on the list 😂😂 Nobody cares how great of an athlete is at QB. QB play is all from the neck up and Brady is by far the smartest QB in football
@lucasborja37976 жыл бұрын
Jason Childs pretty sure you don't headbutt a football, I get what you are saying but imagine if Aaron Rodgers had a Coach like Belichick or a roster like Rams, they would go to the Super Bowl almost every year
@jasonchilds53976 жыл бұрын
Lucas Borja are you talking about the same Belichick that was 31- 46 as a head coach and 5-13 with New England before Brady took over? I like Belichick but he’s overrated. For a defense a guru he hasn’t had a great defense since 2004 and he cost Brady the Super Bowl not even playing Butler and giving up 41 points. I watched Aaron Rodgers only throw for 170 yards in 2014 versus the Seahawks even though the Packers defense forced five turnovers. Couple weeks later Brady throws for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Brady is better against better competition. you can have all of the physical attributes you want at the end of the day the quarterback position is mostly mental

13:00 to 14:00 Chris is crazy to pick the Giants. Their offensive line sucks and Barkley is a great prospect. However, since 2008, most first round rookie tailbacks have had crappy rookie seasons. Plus, Shurmur is a career loser. Even Belichick went to the playoffs in Cleveland before becoming New England’s head coach.
@dilwalecricket6 жыл бұрын
eagles rams vikings cowboys giants saints falcons panthers tier 2 lions bears redskins seahawks(could be a sleeper team they got rid of a lot of headaches by removing some big egos) 49ers NFC is so stacked that a team with 11 maybe 12 teams be the #1 seed and we could see some really good teams miss the playoffs while AFC is wide open
@qcrew29386 жыл бұрын
This is why the NFL is 10 times better than the NBA... There are like 15 teams that could win the Superbowl.. Where as we already know Golden State is winning the title for years to come
@TheMathew4446 жыл бұрын
Dilwale cricket You're nuts putting the Giants, Cowboys, and Panthers above Green Bay. The packers made the playoffs 8 straight yrs when Rodgers was healthy, and they have a new coordinator for the FIRST time in Rodgers career now. The D line is nasty, 2 1st and one 2nd rd rookie at CB, a pro bowl safety, Jimmy Graham addition etc. Packers will be scary this year.

Chris Simms grades the QBs like a scout - just grading on raw talent. It's like the NFL draft, all of 1st rounders possess raw talents that potentially gives them the most upside but that means jack if they don't produce. Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, and Elway might have the most raw talent, but they didn't produce like Brady and Montana. Dominique Wilkins has more raw athletic talent than Larry Bird, but you won't put them in the same class if you're measuring basketball impact. Randy Moss, TO, and plenty of other WR have more raw talent than Jerry Rice, but you wouldn't rank them above JR if you're measuring their careers and where they stand within it. At this point, Rodgers is going to have to put up a lot better numbers and wins and show up in the biggest games, before he is even in the same class as Brady and Montana (and Manning while we're at it).
@iloveyoumadhuri6 жыл бұрын
ohlea Agreed. Montana over Peyton everyday! Look at how many games Peyton played indoors and he has more INTs than TDs in all the Super Bowls (2-2) he played.

+Jason Vo Right but talent is what matters when talking about whos the best. Listen TB12 is accurate but hes not the most accurate passer. He has a strong arm but not the strongest and lets be honest hes been surrounded by talent especially in that offensive line his entire career. Be honest with with me you are the expansion houston texans back in 2002, you have the chance at Arod in his prime or tom brady in his prime but the rest of your team is exactly the same who are you going to take? Objectively that answer is Arod because he has the ability to take over a game surrounded by sub par talent including at the oline while brady lives and dies by his offensive line. Its why the giants were able to dominate that superbowl game so well their dline absolutely abused the pats oline which was great throughout the entire year, spagnolos defense and the giants dline were the only ones who managed to get sustained pressure on brady throughout the entire game and Brady folded like a lawn chair.
@jasonvo78516 жыл бұрын
If talent is all the matters, why play the game? Tim Brown of the Raiders, has all the measurable talent in world, and coming out of college, he's a high first round pick, with a Heisman to boot. He's not a flame out by any means. He's a HoF that lived up to expectations and then some with production and numbers that are top 10. But he's no Jerry Rice. To answer your question, I would take Tom Brady (knowing what I know now, not based on talent). I view QB more than just a thrower of the ball, but a CEO/Leader on the field. He has to know everything and lead the offense and no one does that better. To your point about the O-line, Brady had years where the line is not very good or a near to last defense and still manages to take the team to the Super Bowl. Compare Brady's offense when he plays the best defenses - historically he still produces. ARod, for all his talent, doesn't nearly come up as big. I remember a few years, ago when Patriots played the Bronco's # 1 ranked defense, and he was killed with a subpar Oline. He got sacked or hit like 20 times in that game, but nearly pulled it off. Now take ARod against that defense, and they got killed. ARod put up like 77 yards of offense and the team got killed. www.espn.com/video/clip?id=14035558 Now who would you take again?

Uttering Elway and Rodgers' names in the same sentence with Tom Brady's is ludicrous--AND I HATE TOM BRADY. As an opponent, obviously. As a QB he's SO far ahead of the pack it's not even funny. Fans who think, first of all, that skill set is ALL that matters, and that, second, skill set is even fully calculable and then weight-able, are kidding themselves. The first is like picking your GOAT candidate from among the guys winning some variation on the punt, pass, and kick competition, instead of winning games, winning games over unfathomably long periods of time wherein the game itself has undergone multiple changes, and winning when the rest of your team wouldn't register double-digit wins in a 500-game season absent your presence on the field. The second point is that the first person to produce a calculus for weighing all known QB skills and then determining their relative importance across ALL eras and in ALL known offensive systems will AND SHOULD win the Noble Prize, the Pulitzer, an Oscar, and any other awards anyone out there can think of because NO ONE'S done anything remotely like that yet, and the very idea of same does not look even remotely feasible. Calling anyone but Brady the GOAT is moronic. AND I HATE THAT GUY!

They would be 16-0 if they had even a mid-level quarterback... Look at the game against the Bills, he couldn't hit a 5 yard crossing route

Blake Bortles is not a good QB he was better this year but it helps to have an elite RB carry your offense so you don’t have to throw the ball as often.

Chris is an astute observer and commentator on the NFL for sure. I'm a jaded Longhorn fan, however, who will always despise his choke job in the Big 12 Championship against Colorado that cost UT a chance to play in the National Championship and I was more of a Major Applewhite fan. Applewhite got screwed because Phil Simms put pressure on them to start his son. Still bitter about that.
