What in the world is going on here? Just in the past 5 days they've gotten a shout out from Dolly. Loretta Lynn chimed in she wants them to do one of her songs next. Darius Rucker is collaborating with them on his new record. Their album "The Girls Are Back in Town" has shot to #1 on iTunes. And ohhh...there's that little matter of being invited to perform at The Grand Old Opry! You're right ladies. Country Music doesn't look like you. Country Music now aspires to BE you! Bravo!

When she broke down over saying that country music doesn’t always look like them, I knew she wasn’t just speaking from the standpoint of their skin color (though that is also a huge factor) but she was also speaking as a big woman in a genre that seems to usually only acknowledge the thin, white, blonde, and blue eyed singer. As a big woman myself, I felt that pain and it brought me to tears. Baby girl, y’all are gonna make it and you’re going to be LOVED for not only who you are but everything you are. WE LOVED YOU!

All Bands. Singers, etc. have to limit their song time during auditions based on the amount of time given to all acts. If you listen to covers of well-known songs performed, you can see that they usually have the first verse, chorus, and maybe a little of the second verse. If you listen to Drake Milligan’s first audition, he only does the first verse and chorus of “Sounds like Something I’d Do”. In the Finals, they played much more because they’re given more time. The first auditions are limited because in 2-3 minutes, you can tell whether or not an act is good enough to progress or not; and if an act really sucks, less than 3 minutes is all anyone can stand. With Chapel Hart, the first harmony was so good it was obvious they were already seasoned professionals; but unfortunately in the music business, it sometimes takes more than that.

As of today 7/20/22 @ 8:57 pm there was an astounding 4,400 comments and I want to say this group (WILL) get a recording contract. This had a good musical sound and fantastic singing. I am 100% country music fan and some of the so-called songs that are out there is nothing more than organized yelling & screaming. So Chapel Hart - to borrow a line from the Mary Tyler Moore intro song = "you're gonna make it after all".

He was asking if they were trying to break into the biz. She was saying that there is a stereotype of the country music singer, and the standard practice is that if you don't fit that stereotype, you need not apply. It would be like Roseanne asking to be a Playboy centerfold, or Melissa McCarthy doing so. Yes, there are blacks in country music, a small handful of black MEN have had success. There were no black headliners that were women, not one. Some may have been backup singers or performed in gospel music, but that is a different world altogether. No black female country singers before these fantastic ladies. They are Jackie Robinson. They are Rosa Parks. They are George Washington Carver. They are Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass. That is what they were talking about. Not some "We are the world" praise us all platitude that deflects from the actual situation. They are not only originals, they are a breath of fresh air.

Knowing all of the songs she sang (I had 10 albums), I was singing LOUD and jumping up and down. The surrounding concert goers were just in shock. One even said, "Damn you know them all"! I believe that Howie and Sofia were considering using their Golden Buzzers, since they hadn't yet. However since all of the judges liked them before and after their performance, as did the audience, what's the fact that during and after their performance they had none of the entire crowd giving them a standing ovation but also all four judges, I'm certain they were thinking of a Blue Golden Buzzer. But you're definitely right about how cute, amusing and confident it was when Trea said that. 🤗🤭💯❤️

Check out their opry performance, Danica is such an entertainer and the whole groups harmonies are so good. The originality and I loved Howie’s comment on there being nothing like them, and that’s the best thing about them, they’re bringing a good style of country back but in their own way. They were just incredible!! The fact that they wrote such an incredible and original song, their voices just blend beautifully. They deserved that golden buzzer. They are so humble too!

Great story line of these ladies. Their grandmother had 17 children and over 100 grandchildren. We need to learn more about Chapel Hart. It would be a history that would be interesting to alot of people.

@Booker Tee, I absolutely love them, and it’s very similar to my family, except my parents had 21 children. My Papa was born 1901, and my Mama Dec 25,1926. I’m the youngest girl at 56,and there’s one boy under me who’s 52. I have brothers and sisters old enough to be my parents, also nephews and nieces, that are far older than I am. I’m and Aunt, Great Aunt, and Great Great Aunt. At this point it would take time to count up the Grandkids. I’m always interested in big families because of mine, so I’ll check out their family history . Thank you 😊

What I love about them is they didn't come in to "shake up country" they didn't come in to "change country". They came in respecting country music, loving what it is, and embracing traditional country music at its roots. And they killed it. They are amazing

EXACTLY! They have a good ol pure country sound to their voices. Esp that lead singer. I've been listening to country since the 50's. And they sing from their real country soul.

They are singing the country shake up this isn’t traditional. They killed it, but they proved country isn’t always one way. They made country their own. As they should.

As of today (8/19), Chapel Hart's "You Can Have Him Jolene"is #7 on the Australian country charts! And they apparently have given Dolly Parton a boost also, because Dolly's "Jolene" is back in the top 100 in Australia as well.
