He's like American Jack Vidgen. Maybe not quite the impact Vidgen have, but similar vibes, but his own take. There's starting to be a lot more guys singing in higher registers and people are impressed. 40 years ago, this would be considered non-masculine. Now, it's both impressive and just good music. Talk about picking a great song to sing and doing his runs. The Voice also had a kid from Alabama (Ryley Tate Wilson who went with Team Niall), but Reid has a more unique voice. There are stereotypes of people from Alabama, but there are those from there that defy stereotypes (as with any kind of stereotype). (Daniel Scheinert who co-directed Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, is from Alabama).

One of the most wholesome AGT videos I’ve seen in a long time. No sob story, no drama, just pure talent from a kind, well mannered, humble, humorous kid who really blew me away. Well done!! Edit - I’m not saying having a backstory is a bad thing, or invalidating anyone who has one. Every person’s life and and story matters. My point is that this is a talent show - and that’s what this platform should be for, I prefer it to not have much focus on the story for this particular show, and rather focus on what it’s for… a talent show.
