Humans have stayed in space for over a year straight. If there was an actual emergency they would find a way to return them by looking for other options for getting them home such as alternative landing sites.

Landing site has nothing to do with this. They cannot simply bring them home as easy as u say. This is not a video game. This is space. There is literally a leak on the ISS from a malfunction with the Russian modules airlock and all they can do is just not use that and wait. By your logic they’d just get them out of there if there’s a leak right? yeah no.. waiting on the spacex dragon capsule now, Boeing’s starliner has failed safety measures. they are genuinely stuck. Also Frank Rubio who I assume you’re referring to likely underwent a large amount of psychological stress and loss of bone density along with other long term health complications radiation exposure etc. I’m certain he’s spoken about this.

@EthanJBSailer, she cannot be. She is 68 years old, 69 by the time she comes back. At this age, bone lossing on earth is a health issue, let alone in zero gravity. Her could go blind or have stroke. Her blood vessel and heart will go throught serious stress once she landed.
