I actually see this as a symptom of a larger problem! I don’t think we are attracting well qualified people to run our cities, states, and country! For instance, just because you’re an attorney doesn’t automatically qualify you to be a politician! In fact, it seems that attorneys end up being the worst politicians wouldn’t you agree? Furthermore a soldier doesn’t automatically qualify you to be a police officer! Leaving would mean opening himself up to legal jeopardy again. That's a risk he is not going to take. We need to be very objective when it comes to separate feelings (and that includes religious leanings) against actual intricacies affecting people when it comes to pro-life/pro-choice - women who have no recourse but to require an abortion are already suffering a gargantuan internal battle. Mitt, I'm pro choice BUT the federal government according to the 10th Amendment can only make laws that are allowed to it in the Constitution. Nowhere in the Constitution is abortion addressed, so it's a state's right. For those that wanted abortion to be legal at the federal level, they needed to make it so via a Constitutional Amendment. There were times when the Dems had both houses. They missed their opportunity because of shear laziness on their. part. Stop whining and get to work Congressional abortion advocates. As soon as McCain announced that he had picked Palin, my immediate thought was “He just lost the election.” (Palin- “I have great foreign policy experience because I could see Russia from Alaska!” SCARY). I read that McCain said before he passed that he regretted picking Palin and wished he would have chosen Joe Lieberman- that would have been a great ticket and in my opinion would be the type of ticket that would be great for the country RIGHT NOW- both parties represented in the White House which could help to unite what has become a very divided country thanks to NUTJOB NARCISSIST TRUMP.

Although that would have been a smarter choice on McCains part, it still wouldn’t have made a change in the outcome. Well, he's been trying to scare us about how bad Trump would be as President going on 7 or 8 years now. (So the 2nd verse of the same song now comes as no surprise...) But, you know, the problem he'll have now is that middle-class Americans are now comparing the horrendous (or just, downright ATROCIOUS) economic, domestic and foreign policies of the Biden presidency to those of Trump's four years prior and realizing how much better the economy, domestic and foreign policy was under Trump than Biden, ie. NO wars under Trump, TWO under Biden, NO wide open southern border under Trump, YES under Biden... And, I don't expect a multi-millionaire who(let's be honest...) made his multi-milllionaire fortune under Reagan's growth policies like Romney did to appreciate the fact that there have been much higher prices due to inflation(AND dismal growth) under Biden compared to Trump, since Romney's been above THAT for decades now... But, younger, middle-class, non-multi-millionaire Americans DO care A LOT about that aspect in their lives, at least.

Romney's decision to retire from office is regrettable, his opinion regarding President Biden and his administration's many successes and blaming the high rate of Inflation falls other than Republican typical political diatribe. All economic indicators have been very strong and our position Internationally has returned to the free world leader. Romney is always respectful when he speaks, one irony is that as Governor of Massachusetts put in place a comprehensive health care plan that essentially became the blue print for "Obama Care," officially now also known as " The Affordable Care Act." The only thing that concerns me with what he said is what he said about the abortion topic. Why is courts in the reasoning on if a woman lives or dies. I wish the boarder topic would've been more in depth. I want to know the real hold up on why stuff can't get done if Biden wants to fix it.
