UM NO SRY TO DISRESPECTFULLY SHUT DOWN your bigoted views but There is a Legislation Amendment Act 2011 that Requires a person to remove a face covering if asked by a state official. SO ANYONE MUST REMOVE body coverings FOR SECURITY REASONS, HOPE U FEEL SAFE and SECURE now!!??? In the case of that man u r talking about, the ABF (border force) could have easily stopped, and respectfully asked him to remove the coverings and taken it from him as that is not a part of the faith of Islam. This doesnt just impact muslims, it also impact other religions like Sikhs who wear turbans or a minority of Chrisitans/jews who wear a religious veil of some sort.

Burqas may make criminals more difficult to be identified, so the solution is to ban all burqas? That is a really extreme solution considering that the vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists. It also doesn’t seem like that would prevent terrorist attacks, so “protecting our citizens” is also a stretch. Lastly, in this case, it is not so much about offending Muslims by banning it as it is not allowing them to dress accordingly to their religion, which is very important to some of them.

My grandmother was Muslim who married my grandfather a Christian. She was from Afghanistan and my Grandfather a half black/ British met her in London. She told me that when she was younger that burqa did not exist until the 90s. She said it was used to disregards women's right and put fear in their own identity. Sadly that fear still remains in their upbringing and their influences today. They still can't break free. The conditioning has still remained. And they are still denied simple rights and controlled by cruel men. I'm glad my family broke free especially my great-grandfather who saw the worst of that country and left with his 4 daughters and one son.

True that. I respect whatever you wear; be it naked or fully clothed to the titer. But Sir!! please don't compromise my safety so you could exercise your rights. It is only A RIGHT if you assure the rest of the people around you -that you don't compromise their life and safety. (Show your identification and secure the others around you that you are not hiding weapons underneath. It is that simple.) Anyhow my grandmother was muslim from Afghanistan and she told me Burqa was mandated in the 90s. She said it was to control women and take their identity. She wrote essays and letters about it. She was an advocate for women. My family moved in London in the 80s. Glad my great-grandfather left there. I'm happy to be living with rights and without fear. I'm also happy that I have a diverse family who respect everyone's culture and traditions. Thanks to my great-grandfather who put love in our hearts and never hate. Anyhow my grandmother all her life had advocated for women there to have their rights in society. She also helped women who often seek asylum from the cruel regime. Thankfully there are women who broke free and hopefully soon they will all find their voices again. Sadly that I could not follow her footstep because I'm only a mere Dentist. I could only hope one with more courage and fighting spirit like my grandmother will rise to take the mantle. If there is present now. I pray them good luck to a very challenging task

@@LearnCanWe In middle school we did a project where every student picked a religion and introduced it to the class. Class project was called "Diversity in Religion". Thanks to that little time i spent researching my project I learned something very basic to that religion. One of many things learned. Which was the Burqa. One of it's basic facts we learned was there was not en exact time but rounded around 600 CE and it was a way to show humbleness and respect to God. Not to disgard womans rights. Just like any religion they have their own customs. That set of mind came from a long line of racist idiots who were ignorant and low IQ. So low that basic research was too hard for them. natalia lima silva I’m Muslim and I totally get where you’re coming from. Since I come from that background I don’t think it’s weird at all. So I’m okay with it but some people do take advantage of that Muslim covering and do bad things, so I see the intimidation side too. As for facial reactions, she can still take off the burqa to her family members, husband, and woman in the general public. It’s just hiding her beauty from other random men, remaining pure in her identity, talked to with respect by others for her personality and not by her looks, and never being catcalled. It’s actually empowering. There’s a verse in the Quran - someone is holding two pieces of chocolates, one in each hand. One piece was wrapped and the other one was unwrapped and bare in their hands. So which piece of chocolate would you take? The wrapped one of course! That’s why Muslim woman are covered or “wrapped” to preserve their beauty by preventing ego and sustaining humbleness in this world. I hope this helped seeing an insiders perspective rather than just rules (:

Considering you are good at reading faces while they are bad at hiding emotions. Isn't it too far-fetched and slight demand for a whole BAN of choice of clothing? That's already close to fascist decisions. And don't bring up military, because they handle with tense situations, so they need even slightest improvements for efficiency of their cause. But we, civillians, don't live in bunkers in a fear of nuclear attack and we don't suspect every single person who looks grumpy in terrorism. And what did you say during pandemic period about masks? Were you afraid of aggressive people in masks? Also in Russia, for example, it might be very cold and covering your face is needed solutions. Remembering these practically needed face coverings, a thought of baning burqa seems to me and will seem to muslims no doubt as a direct attack on islam. Because people don't provide such arguments about other face coverings. And i say this as an agnostic. So do you have arguments that will prove that burqa is the most dangerous among all of face coverings, so that we now that banning is needed?

All in all its just a matter of constructive ideology that u have made which doesnt make sense,,, Valid points for suspicion 1) no person can go to a public conference when they arent known there hence its suspicious, 2) the nature of the burqa can be abused and that might lead to someone making a suspicous act in disguise, hence a suspicion can be made,,, 3)it would be wiered and suspicious for an unkown person in disguise i.e in burqa to hold a briefcase and put it in the public conference and move out. We can conclude that its the suspicion that made pple run and not because simply someone was wearing a burqa. 13bigbangtheory it’s not just terrorism, its any sort of crimes. How do you file a police report on someone covered from head to toe? “Well, they had a black burkqa, and that’s all I could see. Seemed to be about 5’10.” That’s about all you can say. Speaking on personal experience, a gang of about 7 of these people dressed head to toe went up to my dads car and stole the logo. We were in a fast food restaurant and went out to confront them... and they said, “ oh no, no it’s okay, it an old model... it ok don’t be alarmed”, in broken English. Obviously it’s just a car logo, but I’m sure my dad would have rather had it back than had it ripped off. The reality is these people do commit lots of crimes, and specifically increase the number of rapes (as seen in the UK in the last few years), as a result of a difference of culture. What if that gang had committed some actual note worthy crime? What are we supposed to say? I think they should ban all of these head scarfs collectively, or at least the ones that completely cover the face or most of the face. It would actually be a good thing too, considering all of these headscarfs just objectify women of these cultures.

This topic was about how she able to enter the Senate house without an ID check she said one of her political friends said to the security guard it's her and he just said "ok" and let her in. But the news likes to not properly look into things.

This same Pauline Hanson, who used to defend Australians, is now saying that Frazier Anning is a rascist because he said Muslims shouldn't be allowed to migrate to Australia anymore. She also said she doesn't think what he says has a place in the Parliament of Canberra. It was his maiden parliamentary speech which he spoke of good things for the Australian people. Seems as if she has gone against all that she used to preach? Not sure about her being so loyal anymore.

George ~ I was responding to the comment because usually Pauline Hanson is for the people but not of late. I'm aware of what the video is about and what Pauline Hanson trying to represent. She's funny though. 😂

@@Ilham-dv8nx what’s so scary about a women not wanting to sexualise her body, what’s so scary about a women wanting people to interact and want people to see HER and not her body? It’s literally the same as wearing clothes... except on a more self dignifying and modest level. Sad that people like you exist.
