Joshua Johnson is super talented. Best interview I’ve seen and I appreciate that it was more than just a quick 5 min segment. He dug in and covered so much. Good start to his new show.

I’ve never seen Joshua Johnson, but wow am I impressed with his keen interviewing skills. I loved seeing those unabashed Post It notes in his copy of Brene’s book - he’s both read and absorbed it as prep for this quality interview. Bravo!

Wow! This was excellent! Brene needs her own show. I have learned so much from her books and talks. 12:33 - 13:12 was so powerful and brilliant, I had to watch it five times to let it sink in and marinate. I've done this to women and I've had white people do it to me. The way she breaks down information and clearly explains it is such a gift. I went to high school with this guy. I didn't really know him, he was a year younger than me, but I am so proud of him and his accomplishments, and a bit envious that he gets to sit and talk with this incredible woman!

I’m not going to fanboy about Brene’s presentation here because she always shows up with her authentic, informed self. What blew me way was how well prepared this interview was. I usually doubt if the interviewer actually read the interviewee’s book, but there is no doubt he not only read, but absorbed this book (as well as her previous work). Mr. Johnson did his homework and it shows.

Absolutely BRILLIANT!! Exceptionally well done Mr. Johnson and Brene Brown!! All the issues addressed in this interview are exactly the areas I've done a lot of great work in. But we don't really master these pieces of wisdom until we've practiced and LIVED them for many years. I'm in a place of revisiting all this and this interview was PERFECT for the work I'm doing (again). Brene Brown is right on time for our world, now-days, and I'm definitely going to follow this guy!

💕 I love the focus on reducing judgment and invalidation in the service of building community connections. . Improving our skills to validate the valid is a wise way back to stronger and more loving communities.
