There’s simply no excuse. I mean to make your questions jump out even if you think the shooting was justified why wasn’t your body camera on initially. Now the argument that will be made is officers don’t turn on their cameras until they get out of the car. The argument will be he got out the car confirmed at the suspect immediately so there was no time to turn on the body camera that’s what’s going to be argued in a court of law. It does look suspicious though when you turn on your body camera after if it’s half occurred. Luckily when you do turn on a body camera it doesn’t record even when it’s not on seconds before the audio was activated on the camera it was recording and we know what happened. We don’t know what words were said but we can piece some things together a man was at home in his own garage and was shot dead. After being shot he laid there for five minutes with no aid been given to him. Biggest question is should I ask is what took so long for you to offer Eden comfort to this man who was clearly no longer a threat. Was there a more pressing issue clearly there wasn’t because nobody else was there. So that means you were standing there observing the situation and chose to do nothing. A prosecutor is going to argue you were trying to think of a good story to cover yourself. There is no defense after the shooting occurred you cannot argue I stood around doing nothing just because. Just standing around doing nothing makes your entire story look bad.

How about cities make the majority of their police force non-lethal security guard units say 60%. Professionals with skills that can address the situations at hand through thoughtful and respectful communication. The remaining 40% of armed officers would be on call should the security units require them. otherwise armed officers would only be called in clear cases of violent crimes or armed rioting.

1. Mind your business, neighbors. 2. Police, announce yourselves and stop pointing your guns automatically. 3. Nobody records police with the selfie side of a camera unless youre in the selfie. He was using the phone as a light source, most likely. 4. Nothing was in his other hand and he has no legal obligation to show his hands upon confirmation that the man is indeed a cop.

America is becoming a third world, the only place I see people denied medical care is Kenya. Where someone would be bleeding on walkway while others watch until he dies. America, you don't want this happening. Once it happens it will be hard to get back..

It is always crazy how they don't turn on cam or the cam is broken damaged. The body cams should be on at all times besides breaks bathroom etc. There should be no excuses for a public servant that who is suppose to be a professional grown adult.

These cops must all play role playing video games where shooting fast become second nature, and the consequence is a reward, not a dead person. These games trains their brains to act without thinking, so their first “instinct” in a real situation is to shoot. I have no proof of this, but seeing this happen over and over I can only imagine that shooting without thinking has become second nature to these people, as has thinking any black man is a threat. It’s so sad, just horrible.
