I met a girl, Olivia (with an Italian oriented family name) when I was an exchange student in upstate New York. We ended up in the same group for the group project and it was her who first came up and said "Aren't we look similar?", pointing at me. That time I new that she was adopted from Korea and she could have felt something when she first saw me. I think the reason why I followed these video series as soon as I found them is because of my experience of actually meeting Korean adoptee in the States. Thank you for the videos.

Idk how these series don't have 1M views, really nice seeing different people from different backgrounds and how they dealt w adoption

I'm so happy that each one of the adoptees was able to find peace within their circumstances. Dan, You look just like your birth mom and brother. I'm so sorry they gave you up. I guess they had reasons. Times being rough then for them. I feel Chelsea almost adopting a baby herself. She looked right at home being a mom to that cute little baby girl. Siri is so sweet. She has a very gentle soul. I'm so glad her birth mother decided at the last moment to meet her and give her closure and a new beginning for a possible future relationship with her daughter. I am hopeful for both Min and Peter as they wind their way through Korea trying to find their birth families. I wish them all very good luck on their journeys.

Very good series! My son is now 37.... His agency also was Eastern. He spent many months about 10 years ago at Inje University in a returning adoptee program. By his last month he was speaking very well. Has been back several times. Never able to locate mother and that missing link still is difficult for him.

I came upon these videos as part of my research for a social work paper. I am leaving with more than I ever expected. My heart is full. The videos provided me with a different perspective. Certainly one that I never imagined. Cultural awareness is needed in every aspect of life, especially in international adoption. I will never view adoption the same again. Thank you for sharing your inner-most thoughts with me.

Dan Matthews, you are truly inspiring and now this just reinforces my desire to volunteer at the orphanages when I move to Korea to teach. I cannot begin to tell you how much this is part of my fate to see all of your stories and help create a positive journey for more adopted children. 고맙습니다

Kudos to Dan, cast, and crew for this awesome series! To be honest, I think you would have gotten more viewership if you had featured a more traditional cast. But you never know what works until you try it.

I was more intrigued to watch the series because it was not a traditional cast. Excellent docu-series!

hearing about chelsea not being able to adopt due to homophobic regulations makes me so sad :/ there are people who can take in these kids into loving homes but since they’re LGBT conservative laws will not accept them

you are korean doesnt mean they will love you. i am a korean but life isnt that easy still. it really can possibly disappoint you more later in life. they lose tension of yourself just because you feel more korean because no one will care about you and you will find out. the only way you found yourself more comfortable is being strong. thats the only way. dont lose tension within yourself because koreans are tough people.
