He didn't go out of his way, she jammed him up. This episode, looks like an intern wrote it, like they've never seen seasons 5-7. Or 8.11, for that matter.

This episode really got to me. The way Hailey practically forced Jay to act against his beliefs was crazy. Jay walking away saying "That's not okay", and Voigt in the end implying that Hailey is slowly changing Jay. It was a crazy episode. Also the fact that Hailey was the one who decided on her own how they handle their relationship at the workplace. And then ignoring him when he calls her??? I'm team Upstead all the way but not like this! Hailey said she wants to learn this relationship thing and be better but so far, none of this is showing. She can't treat him like that again because otherwise it will ruin their relationship.

Yeah I agree. Jay deserves to be treated better. Also thinking that Hailey might break up with Jay for his own good but that will be so upsetting for Jay. IRL would detectives in the same unit be allowed to date?

I always prefered them over Linstead because they worked together, trusted and supported each other. It seemed like that was just gone in this episode.

I'm glad there are so many upstead shippers like me seeing the inconsistencies in this episode, given their long run partnership and 8.11. Episode was terrible from the get-go (truckstead).

I think she wanted to change partners in order to be able to perform at work without jeopardizing her relationship...that was the power struggle I got out of the episode...I think the talk with Voight probably reassured her that she can have both, but she has to let Jay police on his own terms, not hers.

Legally, how much of a 'head start' does LEOs have to give? Why couldn't they wait until he was in doors then guard the alley and back door so he doesn't flee? Couldn't hailey have been sitting in the lobby waiting room pretending to be a patient before he walked thru the door? L&O:CI once had Goren looking for a suicide bomber at a Vet parade. He walked beside the guy but pounced on the guy/detonator. Heck, i don't think I have seen goren or eames in a foot chase. They roll up on the people and put a gun to their head. Green did the same to a guy with a hostage at the bus station on original L&O while Brisco distracted the guy. Who wants to run a foot pursuit? Who wants to film a chase?🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♂️ 👮🏿‍♀️👮🏽‍♂️ 🎥📹

I think voigt showed poor leadership. She went to him. Expressed how her judgment could be clouded and he told her 'im not breaking up the partnership so make it work and get over it?' The whole team works well together. Kim and Atwater work equally as well as kim and ruzek. Break up these love partnerships. Put kim with kevin. Jay with adam. And hailey with new guy cooper...who's been MIA likely because of covid filming restrictions? 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Voight has his strange ways of dealing with things but it always end up working We will just have to see what happens i mean Hailey and Jay should be separated if they breakup and it becomes a problem on the job but they really are a good team
