Not apples to apples, but when baby goats are born, I hold them on my lap, slightly elevated, face down, so the secretions drain from their nose/mouth. Their mothers assist, but gravity helps as well.

Some people, even if they did want the pregnancy, don't bond with their kid right away. I imagine it's more common for kids resulting from unplanned pregnancies

She DID look freaked out by the end, when they said that the baby had to be taken to the hospital: she got upset as she watched her baby being taken. She had no idea what the 'water' was, so odds are this was probably her first child, meaning shock and confusion are likely in effect.

Bro if this was IRL and the OB kit wasnt on the rig then its their fault?? emts and paramedics are required to check all equipment BEFORE they call in that theyre response ready. Its literally called the rig check??

Brett is the 2nd shift PIC, Adler is the 1st shift PIC. The alarm went off during shift change, and it said 'Emergency' at the start of the alert. Brett and Violdt didn't have enough time to check the rig completely. Also, Adler didn't restock the OB Kit, and she has a history of doing this in the past. This was her third and final strike, as she got fired during this episode.

The sac doesn't look like that and it's full of fluid that's what brakes when your water brakes. If it doesn't brake its not a problem, they just pop it and remove the baby as well as clear it's airways which they do anyway. I was born with the sac intact my mom said and as soon as I came out it exploded and the doctor and nurses were slipping on the floor and yelling for towels.

Idk, there is something off about her character that just doesn't fit to me. She is so smart when it comes to being a paramedic but with social situations and listening to people... she listens and acts like a 2 year old. I wouldn't want her to have my back ever. Weirdest character on Chicago Fire to date, for me. I cringe when I have to watch her. Dawson is a close 2nd. Love everyone else.

Sooo many things wrong with this portrayal! No need to clamp and or cut cord in order to help this baby! Suction good but not essential... getting baby stimulated to breathe and get airways open was the need!!! Mouth to mouth would have made a difference! And that baby looked shrink wrapped...not at all realistic... that was just bad!!!
