What's The 411? was the title of my very first science fair project from high school 😂, sooo 🤗... You Remind Me was pretty good and I'm Going Down was good. Now, You Bring Me Joy was very well arranged, but the tempo got away from The GD at around the late 4:30s and they didn't quite recover until the kickline. I was somewhat let down with Real Love, though. I'm from SWAC territory and Real Love would really crank the stands back in the day. I think I remember Alabama State and possibly Jackson State playing it and it got everybody going. Unfortunately, I could not find an older original marching band recording of it. Overall, I appreciate this MJB dedication performance! Nice work!

I think what it was on Real Love was that most bands just played the chorus and the bridge primarily (which you can tell really do crank). The arrangement of the intro lyrics here kind of threw me off. I listened to the song again and it gets a check ✔! 🤗

My friends.. I'm a friend of KB- A&T Did you even factor in the various COMPLEX formations and dance movements and quality of peak performance of entertainment.. We ARE essentially a MARCHING band.. not just standing and playing but groovin to songs that inspire the soul. I did liked your sound (smokin on uh oh..lol loved it) but the show my friends..was to me simply checkers and basics.. and yes I respect the aggie pride. BUT... - My name is Allen G. and I approve this message. ONE OOh

I hear that he was originally arranging for the Brooklyn Steppers, and if that's the case, I have a few things to say... I respect your style! When I was student teaching at Pearl Cohn, we battled your band and I couldn't help but to notice how well written the arrangements were. (Howard HC '08). Good stuff man.

U kidding me right?? That was one of the best field shows A&T has did in years. The Mary J. Blige theme was great for them. I dont see how this is a boring show

So because a band play's good arrangements they copy NSU. We don't sound anything like Norfolk.

What happened to that dancing girl? Why did she run off the field?
@thetruegr8one16 жыл бұрын
true.. so very true my friend music is essentially the basics... In the stands As far as the weak sound quality... You that both bands were displayed musical perfection because thats unhuman. I see 2 different styles with a common ground music that is.. one expresses music in its state of loudness as the other not only challenges the traditional "loud" standard but provides a musical PERFORMANCE and insubstance INSPIRES others to go against the grain. A MARCHING band..

No she didn't catch it, but she exited the field quickly. I felt for her because it was freezing outside and this was the last home game so you know it was packed.
@naturalbornscreamer15 жыл бұрын
Man, you are so right. Even though we have our rivalry, copying is not going to make it more interesting. Often imitated, neva duplicated. (when did A&T start doing horn calls?) --->end of drill
@insight668915 жыл бұрын
i thought this was a very good Mary J Blige Show it was obvious they did not know all the music as well as they knew other stuff they have played but the arrangements were good and I would have done this at honda instead of what they did, even though that show was good and executed well this show was a better show. it had a much better flow and music
@TheTeamIsSHaRP15 жыл бұрын
A&T had a better show, however the rivalry is not as intense as it was back in the 80s and 90s
