I’m watching this tonight after meeting with a Nc owner earlier today. We agreed upon a price and I’ll be taking delivery this week. Never owned a Miata before so I’m hoping to learn a thing or two. I probably paid too much but as cars get old, you’re paying for condition and the options you want. 2 years later it probably won’t matter what I paid. Sort of like “just shut up and drive”.

Jackson, this is a long overdue thank you for all of the inspiration and encouragement you given me for working on my own Miata. I have a 2009 NC with 108,000 miles. In 13 years, with the exception of having tires mounted, it has NEVER been in the shop for any repairs. I am 68 years old and have learned to do all of my own work along the way… doing mostly OCD maintenance but also a few cool mods. You have been a guiding force for many years, offering insights, inspiration and interesting ideas to enhance the Miata ownership experience! Keep up the great work! I’m happy to be one of your subscribers and am always looking forward to your next great video!

Yesterday I got back home for the summer and drove my NC for the first time in 6 months. It is such a hecking fun car. Also, nice 15% like to view ratio on this video

Hi, what size wheels, Tyres & offset are you running?

Man I wish I could find an NC2 in my area for less than 10 grand. I've got a 2.5 and extra 6 speed sitting in my garage right now. They were for an opel i sold. I'd use your channel for a great blue print for a quality build.
@Chilicharger6652 жыл бұрын
Why do you want an NC2 if you plan on 2.5 swapping anyways? 5-speed has better gearing than the six, especially with the 2.5 torque.

Really cool intro, was that an slight oil leak when you moved away? 🙄 Really beautiful car and tasteful mods you have done
@ColoredinLight2 жыл бұрын
Wasn't oil lol it's ac condenser water with color correction that makes it look black on the concrete

@@ColoredinLight glad to hear it! My NC was burning oil so I was tearing the worst but it was just the PCV valve and after it was replaced it's so sweet now :)

I found your channel in how to remove the front bumper and have followed you ever since - I would love to drop the 2.5 but I live in CA and those kind of things are frowned on (meaning illegal). I have a silver 2008 NC PRHT. One of my recent mods is my daughter wrapping it in screaming yellow.

Hey Jackson, just bought my first NC (06). She runs awesome, but I have no idea how idea how to tell if it has a 2.5 swapped in it already or has the stock engine. You have anything specific I can look out for to tell?
@ColoredinLight2 жыл бұрын
You can look at the injectors. If they're white banded, could be 2.5

Thanks man, I'll be sure to check it out

You can look at the wires on the variable timing, if pointing towrds radiator its a 2.0, if pointing to windscreen be 2.5

Ridiculously long intro. Then drive away and show a puddle of oil? Almost comedic.

Hi Thomas, I'm glad you got a laugh. Thanks so much for commenting and watching. Appreciate you.
