This is just what we are going to get this year, which is sad because I was truly hoping Keatts had turned a corner last year, but just doesn’t seem that way. Back to the same ‘ol same ‘ol

The struggle from Mike O. and the other carryovers from last season is simple. Last season the best defenders on the other team were guarding Horne and doubling on Burns. That left guys like Mike O. and Jayden T. wide open shots. This season the defense is focused in on them and it's a lot harder to score and get good looks. Marcus Hill seems to have taken on the scoring from the backcourt but there's a big gaping hole in the middle where Burns used to be. Casey's defense is also missed. And no one is protecting the paint.

@@busterboyd4125 yeah not sure these guys like MOC & JT are built to be Options A & B. At least not consistently enough

Boy did Keatts miss on the Louisville players

Huge miss, unfortunately. Can’t predict injury, but the lack of production from those two have killed us

Both Louisville players are established hoopers who bring certain things to the table. Coach poop doesn’t know how to run a basketball team just a flawed version of what he thinks basketball should be. Size makes a big difference in hoops but this lame excuse for a coach will throw 3 PGs out there at one time. If you started the season getting Huntley Hatfield hot he’d be dropping 12-16 and 10 almost every time out. If he’d been out there running before Middlebrooks went out he’d have had the endurance to go 30 minutes but you can’t run a guy for ten minutes a game and then hope he can just give you thirty all the sudden.

I think every player and coach should be handed an application to McDonald's and told to leave. That was the worst display of "basketball" I have ever seen. UNC wasn't any better either.

So you got a guy shooting better than 50% from three halfway through the season and has been here for four years but only gets 10-15 minutes a game to MOC who plays 34-36 minutes? Can’t make room for all this size so you just have a bench full of talent that hardly sees the floor. Could have played with the lineups more early on and figured some things out but we had to get daddy ball for the last couple of minutes. We are literally out here at times with three PGs on the floor and the best one is probably on the bench. It may have worked at Hargrave playing high school ball but having to endure years and years of this has become painful. Honestly it’s like everyone in higher management doesn’t know what basketball is supposed to be or football for that matter. I didn’t even watch what should have been one of the biggest games of the season because I knew the outcome. This style of basketball allows even mediocre teams to play with you. I see too many things that I could even do better. Missing The Gottfather and even Herby at this point. At least the boys played ball. I’m not sure Keatts even knows what his best lineup is.

There's a bit of stubbornness that places us in this predicament. ACC Championship & Final Four... I get it. Wants to stick to his guns. Unfortunately we'll experience more nights like that one for a bit longer
@busterboyd412515 күн бұрын
Told you guys not to expect too much this season. Can't win too many games shooting under 16% from 3. The 2 guys that I thought needed to step up (Dontrez & Dennis Parker) aren't getting it done. No one except for Breon can shoot with any consistency from 3 and he can't get any minutes. This is a Keatts coached team. I know a lot of fans were hoping that Keatts turned the corner after last season but that was just a bunch of talented players not wanting the season to end. Keatts is and will always be a bad coach. He's perfect for some mid major program but he's not the guy at this level. Losing this game sucks because UNC is pretty bad this season. You can't lose to a team like that at home. I just hope in a year or two that we have a new AD, Basketball coach, and Football coach.

Keatts signed his own extension of termination by winning the tournament last year. Am I thankful for it, by all means. Wouldn't trade last year for anything in the world. OUtside of that, last season was nothing special, and that has led to what this season is shaping up to be. It's a shame to be honest, but maybe this is the wave of mediocrity that we'll be riding the rest of the way until he leaves.
@LockedOnWolfpack15 күн бұрын
Thinks that's really all there is to it. We'll be grateful for last year's memories, and just wait patiently for a new leaf to be turned in a few years. It is what it is
