I borrowed one of the best drivers cars available, the manual Porsche Cayman GT4 and headed up to Scotland with SCC Private Members for their Highlands and North Coast 500 driving tour. I wasn't prepared for the stunning roads, scenery or the rain ! I was joined by some pretty special cars, a McLaren 600LT, Ferrari 488 70th Anniversary, Ferrari 812 GTS, Jaguar Project 8, Porsche 911 GT3, AMG GTC, Audi V10 R8 and of course 'Team B' !

I’ve done the NC500 on a motorbike and had superb weather. The biggest problem is that round every corner is a ‘wow’ moment and you have to resist the temptation to keep stopping to take photos… the roads are petrolhead heaven and the scenery is just magnificent…. Just don’t tell anyone though we really need to keep it to ourselves! Lol 😆

I am so glad you drove the snow road over Glenshee. It has to be close to the top of my top 5 best drives in Scotland. That is the area of Scotland I grew up in and used to cycle to Balmoral from Tarland round trip 40 miles as a boy. I frequently drive that road as my best mate's farm is close to there and our son is at University in Aberdeen. Looking forward to driving it in the car we are picking up from Jaguar in Dundee tomorrow. Not an F Type unfortunately. Looking forward to the rest of the films in this series.

Ah Peter…you should see those roads on a cold sunny filled weekday morning..it is magical and of course, rare! I have roamed them for many years since 1964 with my Dad…I need that AMG GTR now..or a GT3RS…but I liked them in a 1994 Shogun at the time!!😀😀😀😀Stay safe, Richard.🙂🙂🙂🙂

Great video and a trip I’d like to take my yaris GR or GT4 on too. Did the nc500 from Brighton a year back on my bmw s1000rr on semi slicks in November in the rain. 1580 miles in 3.5 days. Horrendous!

Went to Dunkeld to a Land Rover Experience day when the new Defender came out. Need to watch out for motorbikers on the twisty bits of Scottish roads the in experienced riders often come the other way cranked over with their heads on your side of the road!

Glenshee Road (east side) is my favourite road and only about an hour from my house....depending on how clear the road is 😉 I’ve covered a number of car tours that use these roads, mainly photographs and a wee bit of video...

Did the NC500 in 2015, the gravel rash was so bad when I got back I swapped the car, so would recommend PPF! Also would recommend plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery, we did too many miles / day, personal preference but my thoughts..great trip to take Porsche’s car on though 😅

Many who live on the NC500 are getting a bit fed up with the traffic & disruption it causes. Yes I know there are many businesses that gain from it. But still it must get a bit wearing with all the loud cars and bikes. Still like the video though. ☺️ Glad I got my Scottish driving fix in the 80's 90's and 00's before the proliferation of speed cameras etc.

Permission, probably not ! Scotland is weird like that. Just don’t break anything, leave only footprints. There is no law of trespass in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 for example.
