I realize that Kathryn Plumber is the central figure of this team but she could not have had the success she did without Morgan Hentz and that young women's tenacity and strength on that team! That young woman is just a power house and she is my hero! Morgan... you truly are a star in your own right. I know it's a team effort but none of your team mates sacrificed what you did to get you where you are! I've met quite a few tough young ladies in my day but none have had your drive, dedication and toughness. You should be so proud of what you have accomplished in your collegiate career. Kyleigh Patrick so does Jenna, Meghan, and Morgan. We know that Stanford can give great assists but a lot of the swings Kathryn takes are waayyy off the net and against a really big block. @oscorpio13653 жыл бұрын
KP and gates definitely stood out but jenna gray at the setting position is friggin outstanding, the only reason she doesn’t stand out is because of how well she does her job. her sets just float in the air so perfectly, it’s hard to keep track of her when she’s giving you that much consistency. but if you have a REALLY good eye for volleyball you definitely would have seen the difference between her setting abilities and hillys. like her set at 5:57. I MEAN THATS JUST AN AMAZING SET, as paul sunderland says BEAUTIFULLY saved by jenna gray. she’s able to get tight balls and set her hitters, hold the middles and get her hitters in very good situations. not to mention her famous setter dumps. it’s the reason why she was a three time first team all american, would’ve been four time if stanford let her set a 5-1 her freshman year. Even Paul Sunderland mentioned how good of an offense she was running in this match, and karch didn’t even acknowledge it. sorry for my rant lol i genuinely believe jenna is one of the best setters i’ve seen at the collegiate level, right next to micha hancock and lauren carlini.

@ryunamekazi64434 жыл бұрын
Wisconsin definitely needed more offensive weapons when the setter was in the front row. Backrow defense wasn’t making much of a difference that game so I think Molly Haggerty should have gone all the way around. Having a back row attack definitely would have helped them in many situations in transition when they couldn’t take a rip at the ball. Giving a free ball over to Stanford is just not gonna work in your favor.
@ryunamekazi64434 жыл бұрын
@SuperYT4Ever Uh idk how i put it lol.. but im just saying that the match would have probably been better if wisconsin had more backrow hitting options
@oscorpio13654 жыл бұрын
naruto 12345 there are definitely weapons on the Wisconsin team, haggerty being a huge one and there’s even lowberg. Of course Dana rettke and hart were amazing. But Stanford’s defense is the reason Wisconsin hardly got kills, and Stanford consistently put them in out of system situations; whether it be with their serving or offense. Of course Stanford was out of system in a great deal of plays, so it really was a game of who can play better transition. That wasn’t even a competition, Stanford dominated.

2018 with Nebraska is a better match. Wisconsin is in no way in the same caliber as Stanford.

After the first play of the match, @ 0:49, the ESPN credits show that Kathryn Plummer is "1 of 4 all-time to win the award twice", that award being the "AVCA National Player of the Year Award". However, after reviewing the AVCA archives, there are in fact 5 NPOY. 1987: Tonya Sanders-Williams, University of Hawaii 1988: Tara Cross, Long Beach State University *1989: Tonya Sanders-Williams, University of Hawaii / Tara Cross, Long Beach State University 1997: Misty May, Long Beach State University 1998: Misty May, Long Beach State University 2001: Logan Tom, Stanford University 2002: Logan Tom, Stanford University 2017: Kathryn Plummer **2018: Kathryn Plummer. *Interesting fact to note: the AVCA lists both athletes as Players of the Year. However, Tonya Sanders-Williams is the first player in AVCA history to NOT win the award back to back, presumably why ESPN missed her when recognizing the all (2) time Players of the Year. **Interesting fact #2: if Kathryn Plummer had not missed playing time during the 2019 NCAA year, could a STRONG argument be made for her to be the first 3-time National Player of the Year?

The best in the world. Surprised that they didn't qualify for world club championship. And how come America didn't win the world cup with this strong team?

If Kiraly ignore Plummerand coy. For the TokyoOlympics, I suggest that coach Hambly Challenge the team of Kuraly, no holds barred and the winner will represent tbe USA. Just like when Auriemma was challenged by NonUConn players sometime ago
