Yes! I still received some scholarship money from the school like merit based scholarships

Even though I was unable to take the exam, I did study through khan academy (this site was free). I also did this site called method test prep which was extremely beneficial for me (however, this site costs money)

When applying to the honors program do you take honors classes?

Yes, as an honors student you take honors classes or do honors contracts. But you don’t have to take honors classes for every class. You can also take regular classes as long as you’re on track with the amount of honors credits that you need to graduate with honors.

Do you recommend applying test optional? I’m so ashamed of my SAT score I took it during covid last year so my score was so bad. I have a 3.85 gpa and 3 extracurriculars do you think it’s to late to apply ?

You can definitely do test optional! A&T really looks at you holistically and want to see if you’re involved in your community and have extracurriculars

Hey! I’m not sure if I’ll be the best at giving advice since I’ve never been in this type of situation. But I do know that sometimes A&T will ask you to complete certain tasks like retake the sat or act test to try and get a higher score (if you submitted a test score). Then they reconsider their decision on accepting you. Also maybe try getting a teacher to write a letter addressed to the Dean of Admissions and admissions counselor assigned to your area about why you would be a great student to have at A&T. You could also write a letter addressed to the Dean of Admission and to the admissions counselor assigned to your area, which reiterates your intentions to enroll if admitted, and restates why you believe A&T is most suited to your interests and goals. I personally like the dorm that I’m staying in (Blair Hall). It’s in the villages and I did a dorm tour of it if you’re interested to see what it looks like. I’m not really familiar with the other dorms tho

Although gpa is one part of the application process so it your community involvement and extracurriculars! A&T really tries to look at students holistically and not just focus on gpa. You got this!

Yes, there is a GroupMe for ncat25! Usually, people make group chats for each class. I would definitely join group chats to meet people ahead of time or look for a roommate
