I'm just a 53yo lady from Missouri. Once upon a time, I was part of the Egg Harbor Township Grey Eagles Marching Band class of '88. I was a shameless band geek then, and it never left me. I even put my daughter into HER high school band. I know the hours of heat, repeat after repeat, learning to march on every possible surface, the thrill of being in parades, and the nervousness of going away to competitions, long bus rides, eating Mickey D's at 3:00am, and BEST of all: the drumline. Gave me goosebumps then and it still does today. THANK YOU for this!

Why are those people, who we might assume is the staff, stumbling in front of, to the side of, walking through the procession? They literally block, deter, and detract from the performance is these most excellent young people. They should all walk together at the end of the procession.

People tend to harass band members as they march in. The staff serve as security to them on the side and the directors in the front tell them where to go while marching in
