I PROMISE I didn’t mess with that front sight before sending it. What a boogered mess! Following some Facebook forums, apparently there was a known issue with front sights having worked themselves loose to the point of falling off in the first batch; and that Taurus had addressed it. Boy, did they address it! I had no doubts it was loctitited somehow, as I noticed the dark discoloration around the front sight; something obviously bled into the factory finish. I’m still waiting on my optic. I want to show the completed gun on your Facebook and put up a review; but it looks like late September before I will be able to do that. I’ve installed a set of tall sights; but it looks a bit silly as-is. I threw up a picture of it on a Taurus forum, and got plenty of “why the hell did you do that?!?” comments. Your work is absolutely beautiful, Mark! It was a pleasure going through the process with you. Now, if I only had an optic to do it justice...

Good to see you working on some of these Taurus Guns! I bought one of the original PT111-G2’2 and have been very happy with it. It has never FTF or FTE pretty accurate for self defense. Cheep to buy so it would be easy to have some xtra $ to have some custom work done on it!

I had no issue replacing my front sight on my g3c. Used Allen key to remove factory sight screw and then glock front sight tool for new sights.

Want to thank you from Canada for your inspiration with Corona and politics and borders I was not able to use your services But did get a mini mill and ported and slide cut my Shadow 2 and mounted a Trijicon rmr with slide cut on my Shadow will not be doing it for a living but as a hobby they both turned out great and am more than happy. BUT with the mill and tooling would have been way more economical to have you do the work. THX

I really love your work! A Canik TP9SFX comes with several optics mounting plates for different optics so that you are not married to one optics. The plates match the slide cut and attach to the slide with the same holes. The plates have holes to mount different optics. Have you thought of something like that?

The G2c that I purchased actually has an adjustable rear site . I really would like to get that cobra cut and I have an extra fast fire 3 that i wouldn't mind mounting to the pistol. Or a Vortex a venom.

Front: I used an impact driver with the Allen wrench tip. It was a beast to get off but worked. Rear: I put a small square punching my drill press with great results going both directions.

I installed TFO's on my G3c and yes the front sight will not come out unscathed . I cut across and down with a dremel cutoff wheel to within a few thousandths and broke it with pliers and the screw fell out .

I just put night sights on my G3C. The Glock tool ended up stripping that nut. I did not have a Dremel at the time, so I drilled it out from the top. I broke a couple of drill bits, but eventually if fell out in pieces. ;) I have a G3 on the way, but now, I have a Dremel set if things do not go right.

Can you do the modification for adding a ported barrel? And can you port the factory barrel?

I was told there were slight changes on the first run of G3c's in late 19', which I'd guess is fairly normal, especially for a quality budget focused firearm company attempting to maximize production efficiency. I know that people were having issues with Lakeline barrel fitment, and those are all made to exact tolerances. G3c made after early 2020 seem to be sorted out *according to a gun shop friend here in FL* . I'm sure, by now, you guys know if that's accurate or not. I'd love to get some slide work on a few of my pistols, but I keep feeling it's a bad idea on my carry, one day I'll make up my mind :D They look so good work done, I personally love the black and gold look, but it feels a bit pretentious for me, I'd probably be OK with polished, or brushed.

That’s what that gun needs, it shows a ton of wear if you really put it thru it’s paces. But damn, ten different ammo some hollow points, not a single issue. Bang every time about 300 total, not a single issue. That olight mini 2 just mitigates muzzle flip, it shoots freakin great, or mine is. Wanted it to fail to fund another project. It’s Glock sight compatible! Shit that’s a wrap for the money. I just wanna slick up that slide with something that’s gonna really hold up better. Easy fix, this gun really earned my respect anyway.

As an owner of a few of the G series models...I remember the factory had an issue with a few of the initial shipment of the g3c in which the front sights were coming “loose” after several rounds....I guess this was their solution lol

What kind of paint is that on the slide? I used nail polish removal on a small area on my slide after I screwed up a color fill on my logos and the polish remover had acetone in it and it stripped the black finish off. Please lemme know what paint or finish that is. Thank u

If I wanted another color on my slide what are you offering besides the standard black? I see on your website in a picture that you have another colored slide, it looks almost like a mild flat copper side by side with the black, I really like that color, is it the "Cerakote coloring"?

Hey Mark, I'm trying to get my G3C slide cut for a Holosun 507K. I'm already broke from backordering an optic that costs exactly the same amount I paid for the gun itself... So, how much would you charge just for the cut, replacing the rear sight (I don't intend to use the rear sight as a backup, I just want to have the optic as far back as possible without having the rear corners of the optic sticking out the sides. I don't want any other work done to the slide, except the optic cut). Do you have to refinish the entire slide? Can just the bare metal from the cut be refinished? On the front site I bet 10 to 1 odds it was applied by the owner not the factory. You can call taurus and they'll confirm they have problems with the frontsight screw coming loose

I’ll take those odds. The slide was sent straight to him, right out of the box. It was purchased with the intention of having the work done; and taller sights for cowitnessing was always a part of the plan.

They applied enough that you could see where the glue soaked into the finish around the front sight, and made the finish darker. It was a bit excessive.
