in Hinatas and in Tsunades dreams there were conflicts. Tsunade telling Jiraya not to show Nawaki his pervy books and Neji and Hanabi spying on Naruto and Hinata on a date. those were small conflics which existed because those two wanted them to exist. Wheather that is cannon or was a mistake makes the difference on which side I am. If smaller conflicts still exist if you want them then there is literlally nothing in my opinion that would speak against the infinite Tsukuyomi. Well except the fact that everyone would be killed by being turned into white Zetsus, but that would make the whole debate irrelevant anyway

@@revengance4149 Ah...right. Well doesn't it make sense in a argument "if Madara was right", to ignore the dastardly plans of an evil force to turn everyone to zetsu food or whatever. Unless you're saying that even without interference for Kaguya and zetsu that everyone in the tree was destined to turn to Zetsus in the first place as that just how the thing works. In which case I agree with the moral of Madaras plan but it was clearly the right choice to break the Justu. Actual his plan probably could have worked if he didn't reanimate himself has he could have possibly pumped his chakra into the tree as a source of life or whatever and allowed everyone to dream forever as he would never die.

As much as Nick would hate this… Sasuke had the best path to peace out of any antagonist in Naruto. The only way that all of humanity can come together is if there is a mutual enemy(exactly what happened in the 4th great war, and sasuke points out). Only if we fight an enemy that exists outside of earth can all of earth come together. Additionally the only way that peace maintains is that a global threat continues to exists but does not decide to exercise its power. Sasuke volunteered to be that target of hate. There’s a lot of complexity i what happens next but In the real world, this works best
@silenthero2795
@silenthero2795 9 ай бұрын
Well, the problem is that Sasuke overestimate himself to be the "great enforcer" of his so-called world. Humans will always rebel against him and there would come a point that Sasuke would just snap and kill all of them out of spite. Putting all that hatred to himself would take a toll on him and he would lose sight of his own goals. He would just exist in an eternal loneliness until that very thing would drive him mad someday. Naruto knows this, being a host of the 9 tails, that no one is above corruption. People should look within, not outside, and this "global threat" is none other than you being unable to conquer your inner demons. True "peace" can only be attained by conquering oneself, not others - as Naruto literally showed when he befriended Kurama, the very embodiment of evil in their world.

False, it would be a dream. You want something that isn’t real? That’s not really peace, there’d still be stuff happening in the real world, and eventually the people trapped in the genjutsu would turn into Zetsu, and the Otsutsuki would obviously still invade earth because they want their chakra back. It’s better to not give up, saying otherwise is just stupid because you’re only speaking from experience so far and thinking too negatively. To be optimistic isn’t illogical, it’s just a better and smarter way of life. I actually envy Naruto’s confidence and commitment, just wish he’d keep that awesome character in Boruto. Great video! Around 5:14 when you mention the awakening of the MS for Madara and Izuna, I don’t buy that story of them killing their friend to get MS. That story came from Itachi’s retelling of the history, which was already proven incorrect. Like when he said that Madara stole Izuna’s eyes. We get Hashirama retelling the story to Sasuke and learn that Izuna gave Madara his eyes as he was dying. So it’s just another example of the lore surrounding a person not necessarily being who they really were. I think the proof that that version is false can also be backed up by what we see of Madara and his interactions with other Uchiha. We see Madara more willing to hurt/kill outsiders (non-Uchiha). He doesn’t kill Obito after he turns even though he had the opportunity , he actually gives Obito back his eye (which Madara had taken from Kakashi to get to the Kamui realm). He comments to Sasuke that maybe he could borrow Sasuke’s eyes (implying they’d be returned. Which is exactly what he did with Obito). When Sasuke attacks him instead of killing him outright, he warns him to stay out of his way. He only kills Sasuke when he doesn’t listen and goes after Madara again. Madara and Izuna’s goal was to protect the Uchiha. Murdering an Uchiha like that, I think would run counter to that. Indra on the other hand would do that, as we saw in the Sage’s retelling of his story. That’s how Madara and Indra seem to differ. It seems more likely that Madara and Izuna just lost many people who were close to them.

Hear me out: Madara should've grown enough White Zetsu where they out number all the shinobi that have ever lived. Instead of launching Infinite Tsukuyomi, when Madara was full power, he should've just beat the shit out of, or kill, Naruto and Sasuke. From there, Madara then should kill every living human. Once this is finished, he should force Kabuto to edo tensei every human it would be possible to resurrect using White Zetsu, offering every edo tensei the opportunity to live forever in his paradise or return to the Pure Lands. Those who agree live in a world where no one can die and those who were separated can be reunited, with Madara as a god protecting this paradise he's created.

You said it yourself that Madara's plan is inherently flawed because his motivation was ultimately selfish. He didn't give a damn about 'saving the shinobi world'. He just wanted to live in a world where he wasn't a loser. Even if his infinite tsukiyomi would've been perceived as real and accepted by the masses, the most contentious thing for me is that it was never his place to make that decision for the entire world, and his character and ideology was such that no one would've ever trusted him with their freedom.

Probably one of your best vids imo. And I've seen MANY. haha I love the line between virtuality and reality. And it actually brings me to a cool point in that that line has been tenuous since the emergence of written language and even oral mythos because that virtuality (spirituality) ultimately cause a real world chain reaction wherein one's perceptual reality effects others (religion, philosophy, etc) so in fact the difference between the two worlds is essentially non existent (one world effects the other therefore both are simultaneously "real") and is ALL a matter of perception rather than any definition of actuality. "I think, therefore I am" is the primary function of the human experience, where we fight the "world" for perceptual control, for "peace" from our own greatest fears and discomforts. anyway great vid dude! Madara was such an interesting character in the Naruto verse, one clearly defined by both nature and nurture. Madara grew up fighting other people for no reason until he read the shrine from black zetsu of which he altered to keep the Uchiha and Senju fighting. When he read the shrine he went from peaceful ends of conflict to non peaceful actions that will have a peaceful ending. As an Uchiha, he had to face his childhood rival Hashirama, which who was stronger than him. Madara faced lost because Hashirama is just too strong and overpowered any Uchiha in his way. As of him losing many of his clan members and family, led him to have an ideology everyone should have a life of no war and harm, but peacefuleness. Ah, Perception is Reality. I remember using that explanation in an argument I had with someone once, it ended up with me blocked by that person, lol. But essentially this one person did empathize with another character and disagreed with the reaction of the other character, which fair enough it was an awkward situation. But on the other hand, this one person completely discarded the point that the other character perceived what happened differently and doesn't have the omniscient perspective of the reader. Hence, the entire tragic breakup was due to how things were perceived by the two individual characters, Perception being Reality. But yeah, lol... some people don't like common sense opinions.

Conflict does exist in the Infinite Tsukuyomi Madara never stated it won't be quite the opposite, he only mentioned having a world without war, but conflict is part of human nature it cannot be changed and Madara knew this see his conversations with Tobirama and Hashirama in the war arc he explains a lot of his beliefs and what exactly he is trying to accomplish with the Infinite Tsukuyomi, I mean Madara himself is a man that loves conflict a world without an enemy to fight would not be his cup of tea, also even in the Anime Yamato's dream was full of conflict, and Rock Lee beat the shit out of Naruto and Neji to win Sakura's affection in his dream, so conflict is very much still present in the infinite tsukuyomi. Madara was right about the future of the Uchiha and many other things like his death by Hashirama at the valley of the end or Tobirama becoming the next Hokage he might of actually been able to see glimpses of the future even in the war he always seemed sure he would come out on top it makes me wonder maybe originally that was his MS ability to see the future it was never confirmed but it does make sense in retrospect, it also explains why he stopped believing Hashirama. Madara did attempt Hashirama's way he was in the village for some time before he had a change of heart and left to achieve the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan his new found dream. Madara was not a loser in fact the battle at the final valley was a big win for Madara he got exactly what he wanted and "faking" his death was the icing on the cake, Hashirama was stronger but Madara's power was increasing with each battle his hate would allow him to access even greater power at some point even Hashirama wouldn't be able to stop him, in fact in the war arc Hashirama literally feared Madara getting fully revived he knew Madara was not even close to 100% and once resurrected Madara easily took Hashirama's sage mode (while blind), with the power Madara held he did not need Infinite Tsukuyomi to beat Hashirama he already was the strongest, Madara also didn't show any particular need to beat Hashirama his fight with him was purely entertainment. You misunderstood what Madara meant by his speech, he was talking about the idea that the concept of winning will always have someone losing, that is a unbreakable fact in reality but in a dream world he could make everyone win but no one has to lose, another example is the fact that in order to protect those you care about you would have to sacrifice something in return, like Obito learned when he jumped to Save Kakashi and was crushed by rocks which would of killed him if Madara hadn't found him, in Madara infinite tsukuyomi that truth will no longer apply, meaning you can protect those you care for and there won't be any sacrifices necessary, the outcome will turn out exactly like you hope it would.

Some short ish time ago there was a comic that went viral where a girl travelled to the future and a robot puts her in a box that constantly feeded her brain with every possible sensation, and the scenario was essentially the same as Madara's plan, and the answers were most commonly "That is really sad". the commonly agreed viewpoint is that in the vein of "conflict", what Humans want is "real, meaningful experiences and connections with people", and the "meaningful" part seems to be what humans value most in this scenario, which is why the permanent tsukuyomi state makes the meaningfulness of the experiences, and the people you form connections with "Fake", therefor undesirable, it makes you feel deceived

You're very articulate and explain things well. I think I remember you saying that you're an engineer, and that sense of logic shows through in your descriptions. I like the way you break things down. Keep it up! In the Narutoverse I think Madara was wrong because taking away everyone's free will through genjutsu is no different than using genjutsu on a battlefield in a combat setting: It is done non-consensually. If Infinite Tsukuyomi was done to volunteers then it would be ok. Lots of gray area haha
@blaithindonovan

Fundamentally given the standards presented, and the Devils advocate argument it can truly be said that Madara goal was kinda... Irrelevant to all but himself. People in the genjutsu would not really know the difference. No way to prove if they are or not. Hense all the Madara won stuff. But I think ultimately who's defination of peace is more interesting. As much as Madara is painted as wanting power his peace is not the end of hostility or bad blood. But simply no one fighting for what ever reason, fear is just the reason he latched on to. While Naruto, and possibly Hashirama, did not want JUST that kind of peace. Yes an end of violence but also connections, bonds, and friendship. Madara did not care if everyone got along as long as people stopped fighting and killing people. This links back to the sage of six paths wanting to unite people with nishu. So the question can be boiled down to what is peace? Not hitting someone despite hatng them, or not having the desire or hate in the first place.

I'll say the same thing I said on other videos on this topic: Well imo it is evil, your being forced, you don't have the choice to choose whether you want to or not, madara wants to force everybody against their will into the infinite tsukuyomi, not only that, the tree even turns you into a white zetsu against your will, something hidden from you, it's not a good deception for the right reasons, your just being turned into a white zetsu for yet again another war, this time against the otsutsuki, it may not of seemed evil but it was because of this reason, I'd wrather be free even if things aren't perfect instead of being a slave with no choice and somebody deciding things for me. So yes madara is wrong, even if he was deceived by black zetsu and didn't know, he was still lying based on false information so yes he was indeed wrong, misleading everyone to their death

If you think of Indra vs ashura it show the pro and cons of madara vs hashirama. Indra forces peace in a second with a iron fist and ashura took decades to achieve a following. Haguromo choose freedom (ashura’s way) because for better or worst everyone must make their own choices to better or destroy the world. Because once indra is dead (once everyone in the stukuyomi die and new humans come forth) there’s no structure for the future and their will only be war since the main guy is gone and strongest 2-1000 are fighting for control vs ashura ways may take all his life time and a few generations after to create peace but once it’s achieved everyone can follow that path. Now the problem with both is simply humans thinking. Just because there is peace a paranoid individual will create a weapon for defense but someone else will see the opportunity to create their own peace that is perfect for them/their family. So the perfect way I’ll say is to have a off hand Pope/illuminate leader. One that you don’t see but have a set rules and once a dictator start to arrive take them out but this organization must be known or conspiracy theories and revolutionary uprising will happen. Peace is unachievable unless there a forever royalty and in this case the senjus and the hidden mist A line. One head under the same rules leading everyone in a perfect straight line to this family rules.

Madara had every quality of a shonen protagonist (special power, loving family and love for family, integrity, intelligence, kindness, a desire to make the world a better place, a best friend/rival...) Everything, except for the most important thing. Plot armor. And so over countless years and losses against those who had the power of plot armor, the hero side of him was chipped away, leaving us with the villain. Great video that even dabbled in more philosophy than I thought! I agree with you. Reality is nothing more than what we can perceive, and so far we can't prove otherwise. From that perspective, the goal Madara wanted to achieve is valid. The problem I would have with that is that it is still not consensual. Hell, if Madara was truly solipsistic to that degree, he should've just done psychedelics or something...

Nice Vid man, Imma spread by take on it, Madara wanted to get peace in a way, tht way may or may not be thought as a good choice by everyone, The infinite Tsukuyomi was a great idea, I mean in POV terms of achieving peace without no future issues.. Any other way of peace may be temporary(remember this line when reading forward), In my perspective ofc, Even in Boruto aftr years of peace we are introduced to the new Gen Z Shinobi(s) and new villains, aka we lost the peace tht achieved, In Madara's way he wanted to achieve peace with no future issues. But in the dream, There is no reproduction happening(uhh we don't need to get into tht matter) hence this can't happen, as the Shinobi race would go extinct, cus even in this dream there is death, And Madara would die too.. Cus even if he has the 3 eyes, 10 tails, I don't think u can stop death, And uk aliens aka Ishikki was watching the whole thing, and Ishikki can slap Jubbidara(No arguments req) The main issue to this idea was the issue of extinction of Shinobi(s) and I don't think thts a minor problem... Madara was right in a way but in the long run its just not a great idea... Hence Madara wasn't right..

You can't talk about infinite tsukuyomi without kaguya because infinite tsukuyomi is literally her resurrection. It's like black zetsu said, that it was HIS plan all along to make Madara do it and there's a deeper meaning behind that. Zetsu said that you thought you were in control using everyone as a pawn for your plan, while all along he was also a pawn to revive kaguya; in other words thinking you have control when you actually don't. Interesting video though. I enjoyed it. To your ending question about what I think; living in a dream would be great for me, but that's because life for me sucks. I don't like the way our system is set up, the way our forefathers made this world and how we function within it. Living in a dream where there isn't success or failure, love or hate, rich or poor, happiness or sadness, winning or losing...that sounds pretty good to me. I'm one of those humans that doesn't enjoy conflict, problems whatever. I'd be just fine if someone made all the decisions while I just did nothing. I don't want to think, feel or exist because no lasting fortune comes from it. The things we want are fleeting and scarce while the things we don't want are stagnant & everlasting.

I feel like, ironically, Madara's plan was right IF the Ootsosuki (Def spelled that wrong) win. If the end result would be everyone dying a pointless death than rather than fight in vain everyone should instead just enjoy paradise until the end. As long as humanity wouldn't end any time soon the Eye of the Moon plan is mercy. Assuming Boruto doesn't end in tragedy with everyone dying then its not worth it since while everyone currently alive gets paradise you are taking the future of humanity away. In Infinite Tsukiyomi while Naruto may get to live a perfect life with his family Boruto and Himawari would never actually be born. Once Naruto's time passes that's the end and that isn't worth it.

ur kinda bias because being in a dream which everything works like ur thinking of just makes u don’t wanna do anything don’t gonna have the fun u want. Every human wants a challenge in life and it was forced nobody had an opinion yes sometimes forced things work but sometimes it doesn’t the people won’t like forced things they want things to be liked by everyone like yes u can say u don’t like fighting but some people work is fighting yes u might say u don’t wanna feel pain then what’s the point of hitting ur toe and no fear basically let everyone not work what they gonna fear? They don’t have any fears and yes he wanted everyone to live peace but he did it with people not wanting it like if a stronger country comes and destroys both the sides yes the war stopped but at which cost? most ppl lost the ppl they love, war sometimes isn’t a good thing but sometimes war is needed for true peace. like as u see uchiha’s and senju’s were close in the terms of power but after izuna died true peace started yes some people didn’t like that ( madara ) because he wanted to have the control over everything he wanted to have people basically under his command and under his word. no chance for people to talk against him that alone gonna start wars.

In my opinion, the answer to the question, "Was Madara right in enacting his Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan?" Is really predicated on the motive behind that plan. For example... --If Madara enacted his Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan in order to create a world without war, then yes, he made the right choice; or at the very least, one of several right choices. However... --If Madara enacted his Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan in order to keep the human race from destroying itself, then no, he did not make the right choice; as their is no right choice in this regard (Mankind is hell-bent on destroying itself, and will readily do so, if given the opportunity. But putting all that aside for the moment, the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan does not allow for the creation of new life, as everyone caught under it is left to dream for all eternity; this means that no one is making and/or raising babies, meaning humanity would ultimately wind up extinct as a result of the Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan). So yeah... the question of whether or not Madara was "right" in doing what he did, really depends on the motive and/or desired outcome behind the Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan. I.E. - The "Why" behind the Infinite Tsukuyomi will ultimately determine whether or not Madara was right. And just as a sidebar, I respectfully disagree with your notions concerning perception and reality, and how the two are relative and virtually interchangable. --Perceptions are perceptions, reality is reality, and never the two shall meet. For instance... I can sit here and "perceive" myself as a man who has a huge *cough-cough* "appendage," but that perception will never change the reality of what I was actually born with. And this is true with everything else in life. In short, perception has little to no bearing on reality. 2+2 will always equal 4. Gravity will always pull down on objects caught within its range. And Boruto will always be my least favorite Naruto spin off. 😉 Facts are facts. And no amount of philosophical arguments or wishful/delusional thinking will change that.

I think a philosophy like this can be summed up like this. If you have a good life, you don't want it changed and you would side against anything that brings change to your life. If you are dissatisfied with your life you welcome change, you actually crave change more the more you do not like your current life, then you side with elements that would bring that change. So no one is right or wrong, it's all about how you perceive your life.
