If hagoromo could share chakra with humans to try and spread the idea and hope of ninshu, there's nothing preventing hamura from doing the same thing and allowing them to gain otsutsuki-like traits like the light skin and white hair. I dont want to say this is what happened but we have to remember naruto gained his whiskers from kuramas chakra affecting his body while in the womb of kushina.. When kuramas chakra would influence naruto before he gained control, his eyes, whiskers, teeth and claws would become more feral and kimimaro noted that he had an unusual chakra, implying chakra can definitely affect physical appearance.. So even if hamura brought a small group of people with him to watch over kaguyas remains and spend time cultivating their spiritual development, its likely he wouldve sharedhis chakra with the people that came with him including the woman he ended up having children with, similar to how the hyuga, through careful selection were able to keep their byakugan heritage somewhat pure.

I always just thought that they kept the Hyuga tradition of the "main branch" family and that's why the main branch was white skinned. Urashiki's partner could be the true "Akebi" (Amado's daugther), that would be an interesting twist. It could also be interesting if they reveal some special background lore about Hamura. Maybe he knew about Black Zetsu and Kaguya and all the other Otsutsuki. We don't know how good his byakugan was when he was at his peak.

I just had a theory about why more otsutsuki appeared in boruto. And it could be a IN-UNIVERSE reason why, instead the actual reason. What if otsutsuki can sense the presence of other otsutsuki? Think about it. What if the reason more otsutsuki showed up on earth was because they COULDN'T SENSE the 2 otsutsuki that were sent to earth and sent more to investigate their disappearance. Let's say the track of time doesn't really matter to a otsutsuki due to them being basically immortal. So here is how the timeline works: 1st: they sent 2 otsutsuki to earth like they have done to countless other planets. 2nd: they sense the ritual to make a shinju tree is done due to the lack of sensing one of the 2 otsutsuki. 3rd: they wait for for the remaining otsutsuki to return. Since they don't care about the track of time, they are willing to wait as long as possible for the return. Unaware that return is impossible due to being sealed. 4th: they suddenly stop sensing the presence of the remaining otsutsuki and assume that they died somehow. Not aware that they were sealed again, except this time in a different dimension. 5th: they send another group of 2 otsutsuki to investigate what happened. But it will take time to travel space, so it takes until boruto for them to finally arrive on earth. This theory could explain why we only encountered one otsutsuki until boruto. Because until the end of shippuden, the otsutsuki thought earth was just one of many planets they visited to make chakra fruit. It was only after they stopped sensing BOTH otsutsuki that they bothered to send more to earth. if kaguya was sealed in the current dimension and not a alternative one, then the otsutsuki's would have never stop sensing her. Which means, they would have NO REASON to send more and continued to wait for the remaining otsutsuki to return.

I just had an idea after watching this intriguing theory, so I want to kind of expand upon it. I think Amado might be Shibai's avatar or Shibai's will (like Zetsu was Kaguya's). Shibai is like the Dragon King of Naruto Universe, and after his ascension to godhood, he currently resides in his Palace - a realm totally outside of time and space, unable to come back. The two 'destroyed' Otsutsuki represented on the wall might very well be either Shibai + Otohime (Shibai's daughter or 'adoptive' daughter of sorts), or Otohime + Urashiki, but let's go with the first one. I think Urashiki was a very low ranking Otsutsuki, so low that he didn't have a partner, that eventually became close to Shibai and Otohime, and started serving them. Shibai ascended and discarded his body on Earth, and Otohime was consumed in the process but, as always, had a karma planted on somebody. However, when Isshiki and Kaguya developed a scheme to harvest a chakra fruit containing Shibai's chakra from the Earth, they found Otohime's vessel and killed them, so that she would not stand in the way. Urashiki was too weak to do anything, so his best bet was to play the waiting game and tag along with Momoshiki and Kinshiki, hoping to get revenge one day, but he met his demise in the way. Isshiki and Kaguya had a power struggle, Kaguya won and basically her heir took over the Earth, while Isshiki waited for his moment inside Jigen. Now here Amado comes into play. I believe Amado is telling the truth about wanting to resurrect his daughter, and Delta are 'failed' attempts, but they were failed on purpose, so that Isshiki would not notice that he isn't trying to resurrect some made-up girl named Akebi, but in fact Shibai's daughter Otohime, as she might be dead, but her DNA might very well be still intact somewhere. Isshiki's ego is so inflated that it's very likely he wouldn't have noticed the obvious link between the two. With Jigen and Isshiki's death his plan might finally come to fruition, and that's why he needed someone like Kawaki. If it works, he might even resurrect Urashiki. I think this ties everything together, and it may be some endgame stuff, after the Shinjus are dealt with, meaning that all the theories about Amado being the final boss would be correct.

Honestly, just read the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and watch Two Blue Vortex when it eventually comes out. Boruto's anime is a rough start with all of the filler(that's unfortunately kind of canon), it doesn't get watchable until after Kawaki is introduced(the exception being the Otsutsuki invasion arc) and it takes a while to get there, and it doesn't actually get good until Ishikki is properly introduced in the flesh.

I’ve been waiting again for the right vid to post this theory on and a topic of missing otsutsuki’s is exactly what I was waiting for, see Momo’s words in one of the newest bortuo chapters seems to imply Otsutsuki’s have been using Omnipotence to mess with earth for some time but clearly we the audience can’t see any obvious effects, but I have a theory, what if this missing otsutsuki whoever they may be… has been using Omnipotence to dispose early of shinobi who could eventually become threats to the otsutsuki invasion, by convincing them of something using Omnipotence… that being it’s convincing them they have a disease that is killing them, see we have seen multiple characters in Naruto diagnosed with a mysterious chakra illness that has no known origin or really any info at all, it defies curing and has stricken some of the most powerful shinobi we know, Itachi and Kimmimaru are both shinobi noted by basically all their peers as being unparalleled and in truth even literally dying they proved to be stronger than some of the top tiers at the time, and yet both come down with this disease mysteriously and are removed from the story, now from a narrative standpoint this totally makes sense but from and in universe perspective this is sus as hell, so could it be possible that in order to remove people who could eventually become a threat an Otsutsuki has been using Omnipotence to infect ninja with a fake disease to get rid of them? The sharingan is still a menace when fully powered and We saw what the ultimate form of Kimmimaru’s bone jutsu is through kaguya, I think it’s very possible an otsutsuki in the shadows could have been removing trouble pieces this whole time

I don't fully understand it, but I've heard something that suggests that old photos behave weirdly for people affected by Omnipotence. Nick has mentioned it a couple times, but not very clearly. If I'm understanding right, Mitsuki would look at a picture that is clearly of him, Sarada, and Boruto, and see it as being of him, Sarada, and Kawaki, and so it would be useless, and potentially make him even more confident in his false memories. Yeah it works like that. same for any physical resemblance, i mean Naruto and Boruto basically look like clones of each other but people never mentionned it or started asking questions over it. The only reason Shikamaru and Amado are doubting omnipotence is because they're really smart, and because Amado *built* the Kawaki's karma marking for him specifically, and not Boruto, and never built another as far as we know. Basically to even start doubting anything you'd need to be 100% sure of something, for it to be anchored to your reality entirely, and for that to go against your own memories.(and likely the intellect to see where things would be more logical if your entire memories were false). I would think if her partner was so close to godhood her even being of a lower being would be on par with an upper rank based on what we seen of kaguya compared to isshiki and so on. It is interesting and I think she is alive somewhere and will probably make an entrance at some point or at least we will get a confirmation that she was around. It would be interesting if she did go into hiding due to isshiki and Kaguya. But after seeing the betrayal and then how the people of the world acted began seeing more in line with Kaguya and she release her. Or perhaps even try to turn her into a chakra fruit to catch up to Shibai. I suddenly got idea not much related to Toneri but more so on Urashiki and Otohime. What if Urashiki lost his pair and loved one on Earth, and his partner owned Karasuki the time traveling turtle given to her by her father, for some reason his partner "Otoshiki" was sick or something and Urashiki had to turn her into a fruit and ate her giving him the blue rinnegan. After losing her partner, he became a scout for the clan instead. When the hidden leaf found the turtle deep in the ocean, Urashiki set himself to get that turtle back and finish his mission on Earth. Now I remember that Urashiki used an item (maybe from "Otoshiki" too) that sealed Toneri soul maybe in the Dragon King palace. What if this palace is underwater and located on Earth. Maybe Boruto needs to travel to the palace where the Hidden Leaf somehow found Karasuki (and barely searched the palace) and needs to search deeper to find Toneri's soul trapped within the palace so he can be freed of the time freeze. During the time Toneri was trapped in the Dragon Palace, he managed see visions of the palace during the time period where "Otoshiki" and Urashiki lived there, then revealing to Boruto that "Otoshiki" is actually the daughter of Shibai Otsutsuki and Shibai's abilities such as the Jogan which he helps Boruto unlock the Jogan permanently.

by your simple calculation, toneri is 37.5 % otsutsuki, so basically less otsutsuki than hagoromo/hamura. So why does he have more otsutsuki like traits than either of them ?

I think it's a good start but I have one issue: all the ohtsutski are named for the main character in a piece of folklore so far. If there's a female otsustsuki, just being otohime would be strange.

The way genetics work is that you get 50% from each of your parents, that does not mean you get 25% of each of your grandparents. You might get 8% and 42% from one parent and 35% and 15% from the other. AND your siblings might get a completely diferent distribution of your grandparent's genetic material. Haguromo probably ended up passing less otsosuki material to Indra and Ashura than Hamura passed to his children. Edit: So Toneri might be from a line where Hamura passed 50% and the every single consecutive descendant passed a hight percentage of Otsosuki DNA. 49.9999999999ª being the max amount they could pass. And if some distant cousins(or not so distant) where Toneri's parents he would have the possibility of having more than 50% of Otsosuki DNA.

I’m really hoping that when characters speak of the Otsutsuki god, that they are meaning Shibai. Such as when Isshiki tells Code to become an Otsutsuki god, that he would become a vessel for Shibai’s untethered soul. Whomever that Otsutsuki may be, none of us know. But I do hope that the two unknown tablets indicate Shibai and his partner. They had a plan for Earth (maybe it can produce more perfect chakra fruits than other planets) - so Shibai planted his partner. His partner was eaten by Kaguya when she summoned the chakra fruit. This messes up Shibai’s plan of having Isshiki and Momoshiki harvest chakra fruits until the perfect one was created to give that last Otsutsuki to become Shibai’s new vessel. As it should’ve been Isshiki and Kaguya getting the chakra fruit, Kaguya being turned into the new tree, and Momoshiki would eventually arrive to take the next chakra fruit (made from Kaguya), leaving Momoshiki to probably plant Kinshiki to create a final chakra fruit. Thus allowing him to become Shibai. Got a good idea going, just needs some fleshing out. Lol

What if Otsutsuki dna is similar to that of Viltrumite dna. That being as time goes on the more the dominant dna overtake the less dominant dna. We know that Otsutsuki are a alien parasite species, and that the more you are a host of one of them the more Otsutsuki you become. The only known exception so far is that in the self preservation of his cells Momoshiki chose to make Boruto an Otsutsuki at the cost of not being able to possess him anymore. So in conclusion if you’re an offspring of an Otsutsuki the longer you live the more your Otsutsuki dna overwrites your other dna. I’m typing this at 8:57 is no idea if this is already covered or not.

What if Amado is so involved in everything otsutsuki because he is as other stated, one himself. But not just any otsutsuki what if he’s actually shibai himself. And his “daughter” is his powers separated from his body somehow. Would explain a lot I about his knowledge and also his sneakiness and desperation to revive his daughter.

I dont know why but what if... hamura and his kin on the moon were siphoning kaguya chakra as well.. chakra is almost like DNA at this point considering how kurama affected naruto.. what if hamura was siphoning kaguyas chakra making his people more otsutsuki like.. just a theory but she's sealed where they live.. seems a litter weird to me
