I never really got super into NCIS as much as other crime drama shows but relatively lately I've been enjoying it a bit more. Will be interesting to see how the prequel will be. First episode apparently drops today.

Origins is a little darker and doesn't have any comedy. Not sure if will stay that way but still pretty good.

Gibbs was perfect for an investigator, ability to kill easily, no morals about investigations and manhandling suspects. Started his job after sniping people from afar without remorse. Sounds like a great cop to me.

Robert Taylor as Jackson Gibbs (NCIS Origins) seems much taller than Ralph Waite - Jackson Gibbs (original NCIS). Maybe it's just me.

Ok I watched the first two hours & I have to say, it was pretty amusing watching the old workhorse trying to be "True Detective" with no subtlety at all. I especially enjoyed the hanging artworks, bones on fishing line that didn't melt in a fire 😅. Second place to the "big bottle of nail polish remover" in the pancake syrup bottle. Will I watch again? 😏(yeah...)

As far as I know he also only did about three years under Franks, who quit after 9/11 and episode one of the main series starts in 2003 at wich point Dinozzo has been a member for a couple of years. We also meet Mallard's predecessor at one point I think.

I’m kind of indifferent to the new show. Franks has anger issues.I know the original Franks is older and wiser, but the young Franks seems like a hot head. I would think the basic character would be similar. The old Franks was cool, crafty and smart. He seemed to always have a leg up on his adversaries. The young Franks is smart, but the character is quite different and throws me off. Even Gibbs seems off. He’s young and should make some mistakes, but for a soldier I would think he would be a bit smarter. Seems like a deer caught in the headlights. His gut instincts are way too buried.

I'm boycotting this show. You see , sadly I won't be looking at an actor who portrays a handsome, sexy and secure agent. Sorry Harmon...I realize you have a stake in the show. You direct and are the clever inventor, the narrator. Why my beef...well your boss CBS has eliminated many a few awesome shows. In all instances the response was not good ratings and the shows were to expensive to maintain, understandable..... What I don't understand is why were some drama and comedy shows chucked ( I can tell you right now which ones will flop and not make it to season 2.) Some of these shows have yet to make an imprint in our minds. So now we have NCIS, Origins!!! Mark Harmon must be making lots of muna.. Thank u for eliminating NCIS New Orleans, NCIS LOS Angeles and your biggest last hit NCIS Hawaii. Tell us why should we swallow your new show when it may be removed and sold to the public via Paramount ? Why should we fall in love with the new protagonist from NCIS, Origins? Are u going to phase him out after 3 years ( show too expensive to produce). ? I'm a dissatisfied member of the public who watches CBS regularly and have observed a consistent behavoir with the network . Good luck with Origins, I'll turn the tube on to KZbin and get my rocks off that way. Thank you

Afraid I won't be watching Period Could have gotten characters that actually looked kinda like the people on ncis. Gibbs is to tall and big. Mike Franks not tall enough , just wanted to know if I was the only one ...I don't care for it all

I was very unhappy with the new show. I felt it was a waste of my time. I have watched ncis since the beginning and this was just a terrible show. As for the young Gibbs I just didn’t feel he’s a worthy Gibbs . As for Frank’s I thought he was totally awful. I will not be watching origins. I also feel that Gibbs should have had been in Duckies funeral.
