Capone's Pizza - Boone, NC (2nd Visit/2nd Review-Is It Still Outstanding?)

After a not-so-good experience at Bayou Smokehouse, we decided to leave and go back to enjoy a pizza in Boone, at Capone's.
Our first visit there, set the bar pretty high. Come along with us, and see if it is still amazing.

Yum! My favorite @Pizza Time is Grandma's 🍕 slice. Pure Italian. The snow is so pretty. Beautiful here! 😊

Yes, one of the dogs is bad to try and get into stuff. The other isn't bad about it. But neither one of them were able to get to the pizza, because she had it wedged in between some things. We really enjoy the pizza there. Can't wait to go back and try another one.

Yes, the garlic knots were really good. And Renoir will get into your food if you don't put it to where he can't reach it.

Oh..you have a Yorkie!! So do we!! I never thought I would say the words "too much cheese" but I think but I think the deep dish may have fit that. I love leftover pizza..you did good!

Yes, we actually have 2 yorkies. And we lost one back in 2019, who was a rescue. He was about 15.

Those pizzas look so good. I can eat my weight in pizza. We have Domino's pizza 'and Pizza Hut here in our town. I usely order from Domino's and sometimes got and pick it up. I hope you both have a blessed weekend.

By the way Derrick when you mentioned godfather my mind went immediately to the Godfathers pizza chain back in the day. There is a pizza place in Lexington NC called Godfathers Pizza . I guess its the same company ?

I would say so. There are still a few around. We ate at one in Myrtle Beach, about 6-7 years ago. We used to have one in Hickory, back in the 1980s.

Hello, when you were eating in the restaurant did you leave the car running to keep the little dogs warm?

In the summertime, we leave the air conditioner running to keep them cool. When necessary, we leave the heat running to keep them warm. We often go out and check after we place our order to see how it feels, and we start the engine accordingly. Last week, it actually stayed warm in the vehicle while we were eating, because we weren't in there long, and the vehicle had been sufficiently warmed up.

Well, the last couple of weekends, we've been staying pretty close to home. These are just short drives from our house. I'd love to travel full time. I just don't see that happening anytime soon.
