I'm not gonna lie, it looks like the Legion vastly outnumbers the NCR here.

In the lore, Caesar's Legion can pick and choose where they attack, so the battles generally should have more Legionaries - the NCR is spread very thin and Legion can consolidate their forces into specific areas. I know it's just an NPC battle, but if the game was fully true to its lore, most battles in game would have far more Legion than NCR outside of the NCR camps.

They do. Not only does lore say that the legion out numbers the ncr but the ncr were over powered with those ncr vet rangers.

@@AlbertoSantosDumont819 To be fair though, Lanius is Legion so he would be with them. Also I have seen a ton of NCR vs Legion videos and the NCR pretty much always owns the Legion (especially with those NCR Ranger Vets). Honestly even with Lanius I feel like NCR could still win this battle even if they didn't win this particular one.

Yes most of the normal one, not counting unique npc spawn for certain quest. Also the Legion have 1 unique that being Lanius. Legion was on average is weaker than NCR unit, the exception being lanius which is a boss. In this video there far more legionary then NCR soldier because the NCR ranger is pretty op relative to the legion.

They probably do have them in small numbers. The different between the NCR and Legion in terms of armament is that the NCR is a semi-industrialized nation with a arm industry to supply it military with weapon, the Legion doesn't have the same firearms manufacturing (or know how) to scale with the NCR. The Legion probably have some advance weapon like Power Armor, Laser weapon and AT rifle but only in very limited quantity and often only specialized unit are allow to use them. If new vegas was realistic, Lanius would have die to a NCR trooper

When you get to high level the Centurion do spawn with Anti-Material. Check their loot table on the wiki.
